On Air With David Duane w/ Special Guest: Dustin Michael & James Lee Taylor

    in Music

James Lee Taylor is an English-born, Los Angeles-based actor and writer, born and raised on the beaches of Canvey Island in Essex. His father a comedian and his mother a successful model, James was born with entertainment in his blood.  He started modelling at age 15, working with Nivea, Valentino and the coveted Calvin Klein to name just a few, and signed with IMG and Select Model Management.  After a decade of modelling, James was introduced to the world of the stage and immediately discovered that acting was his true passion. After honing his craft with the world famous Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, James went on to land the lead roles in two major off-Broadway shows, The Tiger and Tesla.  Testing his skills on short film Deep Water, James realised he was most at home on camera. In January 2014, James made the jump out to Los Angeles and signed with Innovative Artists, Schumacher Management and Core MGMT.  His commitment to his new path was immediately rewarded when he became the face of the Three Olives Vodka, taking over from brand ambassador Clive Owen.  The mesmerising ‘Werewolf of London’ campaign earned James his heartthrob status, which then led to him being cast in BET Network’s Being Mary Jane.  His recurring role as Gabrielle Union’s love interest is an exciting and developing story which we look forward to exploring...

Tab Hunter Confidential: Hollywood's All American Boy Had a Secret

    in Entertainment

Hollywood's All American Boy Had a Secret.  Hollywood legend Tab Hunter drops by The Nicholas Snow Show to discuss a Hollywood life lived in the closet, the subject of the new documentary, Tab Hunter Confidential.

Throughout the 1950s, Tab Hunter reigned as Hollywood’s ultimate male heartthrob. In dozens of films - and in the pages of countless movie magazines – Tab’s astonishing looks and golden-boy sex appeal drove his fans to screaming, delirious frenzy, making him the prototype for all young matinee idols to come.  Bristling against being just another pretty face and wanting to be taken seriously, Tab was one of the few to be able to transcend pin-up boy status. He earned his stripes as an actor to become a major movie star and recording artist.  But throughout his years of stardom, Tab had a secret. Tab Hunter was gay, and spent his Hollywood years in a precarious closet that repeatedly threatened to implode and destroy him. Now, Tab’s dramatic, turbulent and ultimately inspiring life story has become an explosive documentary feature directed by Emmy award winning filmmaker Jeffrey Schwarz.  The film has the unique advantage of exclusive, unprecedented access to Tab Hunter himself who shares first hand, for the first time, what it was like to be a studio manufactured movie star during the Golden Age of Hollywood and the consequences of being someone totally different from his studio manufactured image.

Displaced - Part Five - The Plot Thickens (I can't think of another title).

    in Books

Chevelle Donahue thought going into work would be just like any other boring day at the mall. Sure, there was her annoying co-worker Wicken Sanders, and a promotional visit from teen heartthrob Timber Hudson, to watch and keep her entertained. But who was she kidding? Working retail was lame no matter what happened.

A terrorist attack changes everything - an attack from aliens of all things. The patrons are given two options: comply or else. Complying means giving in to a new set of rules and changing her entire life. "Or else" means she has no chance of going home again.

She must figure out the truth behind why the aliens are holding everyone hostage. In doing so, she risks her chance at freedom - but by the time she learns what's really happening, she might not want it.
