Have you ever wondered why RAW milk is illegal?

    in Health

While the main argument by the FDA is that it has a higher chance of havingSalmonella, E. coli, or Listeria bacteria, the same can be said for many types of sushi and unpasteurized cider, believe it or not. Yet they say nothing of the hundreds of thousands of deaths caused by correctly prescribed pharmaceutical drugs each year and they are still legal.

Are we not trusted enough to make our own decisions about our health? RAW milk was legal until 1986 & today the ban is based on mainly one study that we will discuss and compare to Real Truth beginning at 7PM Wednesday Sept 23, tune in for the Rest Of The Story.

    Episode 137: Matt Harvey Omnibus

    in Baseball

In the "Well, guess we are re-recording on Saturday" edition, Jeffrey and Steve discuss the sound and fury around Matt Harvey's innings limit, and then a probably anti-climactic bit about the Brooklyn Cyclones, because Jeffrey saw them this week. Next, Chris talks to Marc Carig of Newsday about the Mets hot August and what the future may hold for the 2015 Mets. Nothing about Matt Harvey though, because that was recorded on Thursday. Then, Joe Sheehan of Sports Ilustrated is here to discuss if the Mets are actually good, if it matters, and why the Nats haven't been good. There is some more Matt Harvey talk here too. Finaly we wrap up with your e-mails, and a brief IFK Goteborg update.

ENVISION THIS: The one hope for the future lies in Sacred Activism – the fusion of the deepest spiritual knowledge and passion with clear, wise, radical action in all the arenas of the world, inner and outer.

We are honored to host Andrew Harvey, famous primarily for his popular nonfiction books on spiritual or mystical themes.  He is also a religious scholar and teacher of mystic traditions.  He is the founder of the Institute for Sacred Activism and was the subject of a BBC documentary "The Making of a Modern Mystic." He has been active with The Shift Network, presenting Rediscovering the Christ Path: How to Embody Sacred Love in Action. He is one of the most convincing advocates for reviving reverence for the Feminine Divine that we have heard.

Andrew’s message is heartfelt and urgent: “Let all of us who see the seriousness of our contemporary situation, and also the extraordinary possibilities of a new order join together as Sacred Activists to do all we can with all we are and have to transform the crisis and the world…When the deepest and most grounded spiritual vision is married to a practical and pragmatic drive to transform all existing political, economic, and social institutions, a holy force – the power of wisdom and love in action – is born. This force I define as Sacred Activism.”

Your hosts, Burl and Merry Hall, are engaged in Sacred Activism and hope you, too, will be inspired by Andrew Harvey to embody sacred love in action.
