The Best of Truf Bros. Radio: Rise of the Warrior Cop

    in Entertainment

In America there has always been this concrete distinction between the military and the police. When did the job of the police officer become the job of the solider? The job of a solider is to seek out eliminate and annihilate enemies of democracy and threats to the U.S. The police mantra is "To Protect and Serve" but with the brutal attacks and misconduct that has plague ours news like the recent incidents in Ferguson. Just who are the police protecting? We have seen time and time again the folly of government  when military tactics are used to deal with domestic and civil affairs. When the government dehumanize civil disputes and issues and cloak them under the guise of "The War Against _______" a mindset is created that initiates a police state. Has the dehumanization of people and increase federal incentives created a over militarization of the police ?

Truf Bros. Radio Special Presentation: Officer Nightstick "I Can't Breathe"

    in Entertainment

As another grand jury fails to indict it leaves us wondering is there a such thing as justice in America for those of us with brown skin. Many argue that we are living in a post racial society, where racism ceases to exist; but how can that be when another unarmed black man is tragically murder by those who are suppose to serve and protect. Those who have hidden behind their badges when they are videotape doing wrong. Eric Garner is just another example of how flawed and unjust the American judicial system is when it comes to facilitating justice for minorities. Please join Ray and Devon in this special presentation of Truf Bros. Radio as they welcome very special guests Toni Breedlove, Theo Brooks, Ramone Garrett, and Sam Lee as they discuss police brutality and minority injustice as Truf Bros Radio proudly presents our special presentation

Truf Bros. Radio: My Religion is Better Than Yours

    in Entertainment

The United States of America is a country that we all know was built on the fundamentals of the advancement of Christianity. We also claim to have strong values as a country in the freedom of religious pursuit. Unfortunately as we have seen in recent news story such as that of Kansas City Chief safety Husain Abdullah. Who was prematurely penalize by NFL for unsportsmanlike behavior because of celebrating his tackle by giving honor to his beliefs. Players like Brandon Marshall and Tim Tebow have often been seen in the end zone giving honor to their Christianity but they were never penalize. The controversy continues with the beef between political analyst and host of Real Time with Bill Maher, with actor Ben Affleck and host Bill Maher over salacious generalizations and comments about people who practice Islamic Muslim beliefs. It makes one wonder if the United States is full of hypocrisy? Do we as a country only recognize freedom of religion only when it is Christianity? Please tune in and join Truf Bros as we discuss. Check us out at www.trufbrosradio.com and get the TRUF!
