Encouraging and Inspirational Words of Wisdom, Spirit and Life. "Father’s Honored & Father’s Remembered" Quoting the Honorable City Councilwoman from Jacksonville, Florida Glorious Johnson (R), “the church and the community must work together to address our crisis of death and destruction”. Many have prayed for change, but what contributions besides prayer have they offered. In St. Matthew 6:5 it states, ”and when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily, I say unto you, they have their reward”. What reward will we all receive in the years to come if we remain divided and hypocrites in the Word of God. We fathers have a guide, we have a word of truth and power, all we need to do is follow it. St. Luke 2:49, “we all must be about our fathers business,” united in a common cause to save our children and not allow another possible generation to be lost. Mrs. John B. Dodd, of Washington State, first proposed the idea of a "Father's Day" in 1909. Mrs. Dodd wanted a special day to honor her father, William Smart. William Smart, a Civil War veteran, was widowed when his wife (Mrs. Dodd's mother) died in childbirth with their sixth child. Mr. Smart was left to raise the newborn and his other five children by himself on a rural farm in eastern Washington State. It was after Mrs. Dodd became an adult that she realized the strength and selflessness her father had shown in raising his children as a single parent. In 1966 President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father's Day.

Tonight we will have our opening session celebrating Fathers. The role of the Father is such an essential role in the lives of children. Fathers were ordained to speak into the lives of their children as Abraham spoke over Isaac and as Issac spoke over Jacob. Fathers not only speak forth our identity, but the provide the firm hand and strong tone that children need to get stay on the straight and narrow path. Fathers are the leader of the family and they help to set the precedance for the family foundation. Join us tonight as my Uncle Darnell discusses his role as Father and Grandfather. Call in iwth your questions and comments! Talk with you then!

Father's Day is not as respected and popularly observed as Mother's Day. There is a simple reason for this. Although almost everyone has difficult issues with their mothers, there is no doubt as to their mother's love. The same is not true for fathers. Because men have a more difficult time expressing their feelings to their children, many children go through life with the mistaken notion that their fathers don't love them. This is a tragedy because fathers generally love their children dearly and often work long hours so that they can raise their children in comfort.

Happy Father’s Day Mom
It seems today that Father’s Day is not held to the same caliber as Mother’s Day. However, both days are to show appreciation to an individual that has a child or children. In a lot of cases mothers take on the role of a father figure because of different reasons. Reasons such as being a single mother due to divorce or being single at the time of birth, death of the father, or a father that is not supportive. Regardless of the reason a mother has to play the role; is it okay for the woman to receive the acknowledgment on Father’s Day? Of course a single mother works hard to pick up the slack the father would have provided but there is still a father in the picture, if the father is not deceased. The child got here some kind of way. The society we live in has no problem with bashing men that are not great fathers but there is a problem with excluding men that are good fathers just because they are not with the mother or in the household. So is the statement Happy Father’s Day, Mom okay?
What are your considerations about patriarchal or paternal responsibilities and obligations, either in your life or in general society? What would it be like to enjoy Father's Day and have gratitude for your dad or dad figure, regardless of the biological ties and personal stories impacting your points-of-view. This is not an examination of the "Electra Complex" but rather, a conversation about the impact of one's bias and expectations, often based on the theories or opinions of others, and how such perspective can make you grateful or resentful even with the same history.
Adamma A. Ison has used Access Consciousness® tools and holistic mind-body modalities for several years now. She discovered Access Consciousness® about 6 years ago when she asked herself a question: What would it be like to create my reality beyond everybody else's expectations of me?
Adamma had already tried BodyTalk and other techniques. Although she momentarily felt better her actual reality did not improve nor change. Once she found out about Access Consciousness® and began using its tools her realities actually did truly change and seemingly without doing anything. Ever since the, Adamma has credited the practical and tangible "real world" gains in her life as a direct result of her experiences facilitating Access Consciousness classes, workshops, and coaching sessions for herself and her coaching clients.
Wow, I've always wondered if there was a Siblings Day. I actually recall someone telling me about this too. I don't think I believed them, though. Using checkiday.com, we celebrate ten other holidays. Can you guess which ones without checking the website? It's a doozy!
We continue our Dancing Monday with songs from Prince of Egypt, Zoegirl, and my high school choir from years back. Yikes! So put those dancing shoes on, grab your water bottle, and get ready to sweat. Owe!
