About the book
Half Popped is the heart-warming and whimsical story of Kenny the Kernel, a discouraged but friendly popcorn kernel who believes he never reached his full potential. As Kenny journeys through the kitchen, he helps cheer up other down-on-their-luck snacks by pointing out the bright side to their situations, all the while harboring a half-empty view of himself. Until.... With a silly, story-telling rhyme evocative of Shel Silverstein poetry and unique artwork that combines photography and illustration, the charming tale serves as a lesson in self-confidence and reminds young readers that a genuine compliment has the power to make a friend's day. Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to see it, but there's a place and a purpose in this world for everyone - even Kenny the Kernel, who was only half popped, and turned out that way when the microwave stopped.

About the author/illustrators
Jeff Feuerstein has been writing since he was strong enough to hold a pencil. However, none of it was legible until much later. A New York sports fanatic with an affinity for Chinese take out and vintage t-shirts, he fills the time between by walking, thinking and dreaming up new characters. Jeff has worked in the film business since graduating from the Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. You can follow Jeff on twitter: @mosjeph.
Dayna Brandoff just loves a good art project. As a mother, she was eager to create a children's book that parents would actually want to read "again!" (and again. and again.)

Starting off the show tonight, I interview Peter Wilkes, son of an Episcopal minister who had a first-hand look at the inner workings of organized religion and came to the conclusion it has done far more harm than good. We'll discuss his poignantly amusing & thoughtful book, the first in his series of Little Books for Big People, called A Woman Called God - a belief that can change everything!
In the second half of the show, Edward Malkowski explains ancient history in the light of today's economic reality in our show, and his book of the same name, Return of the Golden Age: Ancient History and the Key to Our Collective Future....yet another guy out there, an ally, who recognizes what the "Fall of the "Great Mother Goddess Culture" has cost humanity and how its affecting us today. We must look back to move forward. Our discussion will include mythology, Civilization X, Goddess Culture and today's religion, economics and globalization.
Join us as we interview authors just beginning their literary journey. It doesn't matter how their book is published, the world agrees being a published author is a big step. This week’s Featured Author is . . . Aurora Zahni!
A former rebel who’s trying to bring a little bit of Judy Blume and Sylvia Plath to the Twilight Generation. Over the years he has given half-assed / full throttle contributions to numerous zines and blogs, written a web movie and done significantly well in countless competitive eating events. When he was in the 8th grade, he was on the local evening news. A dead body was being lifted out of the water at a marina by the Meadowlands and you could clearly see him standing in the background watching, looking a bit excited for the camera. Looking back it may have been the highlight of his entire childhood.

Each week I am here live to connect and share in the JOY of Mediumship and Soul Purpose coaching.
To know and understand your Soul Purpose is to know the very depths of who you are.
If like me, you believe in the existence of a pre-birth plan, you will understand that to know the reason why you came to be, to exist in this life time at this present time is the most empowering thing you can know about yourself. Allow me to uncover a little of what it is you were born to do.

See how your pre-birth plan has defined your past
Align significantly more with your Soul and Spirit to live the future you were born to live.
We are all born into this life with one purpose and that is to evolve the soul with wisdom and grow more into love. Yet, individually how the Soul chooses to experience and achieve this is entirely different for each of us.
Each week I am here to give you a little inSight and understanding behind your Soul Purpose and what it truly means to live from the Soul.
