“Our habits create our lives.” In the cancer dance, you have to make new habits – even if you don’t want to. In discussing creating good habits in his life, a patient told Dr. Ken Weizer, “It’s easy to say but hard to do.” Dr. Weizer had a different take on it. Listen as Dr. Weizer talks about how to help yourself do the good habits that you should do. A discussion that everyone can take something from, whether you have cancer or not.

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Exhausted? Author Jane Rubietta will chat with Maxine and Jeannie on The River about our human tendency to overwork. We worship busyness, she says, by filling our time with activities and then passing that habit on to our children. In her book, Finding Life: From Eden to Gethsemane—the Garden Restored, she urges us to rethink how Christ is calling us to live our lives. We don’t need to apologize for resting, Rubietta says, rest can be a stepping stone to our own growth and development as beings made in the image of God.
