Holistic dentistry also called biological dentistry, biologic dentistry, alternative dentistry, unconventional dentistry, or biocompatible dentistry is the equivalent of complementary and alternative medicine for dentistry. Holistic dentistry emphasizes approaches to dental care said to consider dental health in the context of the patient's entire physical as well as emotional or spiritual health in some cases.
Although the holistic dental community is diverse in its practices and approaches, common threads include strong opposition to the use of amalgam inmaterials in dental fillings, nonsurgical approaches to gum disease, and the belief that root canals may endanger systemic health of the patient through the spread of trapped dental bacteria to the body. Many dentists who use these terms also regard water fluoridation unfavorably.
Many practices and opinions among alternative dentists are criticized as not being evidence-based by the mainstream dental community and skeptics of alternative medicine in general. Generally speaking, such dentists charge far more for the same dental treatment compared to mainstream dentists, as they consider themselves to be providing special care.

Wing Chun is a very unique and scientific form of martial arts. Wing Chun is a style of Kung Fu that originates from China, the martial art was later refined in Hong Kong by the late Ip Man. Wing Chun's specialty is in close contact combat, using quick punches and kicks with a tight defence, coordinated through agile stances and footwork for a quick advance. The effectiveness of this fighting style is achieved by well coordinated attacks with simultaneous defence and vise versa. Due to its effectiveness this martial art makes for an effective form of self defence. The student must learn to deliver the correct amount of energy or force, whilst staying relaxed when possible. A good Sifu (instructor / teacher) will teach the student to overcome force and strength with positioning and turning rather than meeting it head on. The style uses kicks, sweeps, elbows, palm strikes, punches, trapping and control techniques as part of its fighting arsenal.
We will talk Politics with Valerie's Son.

At the end of March 2015 a Meta-analysis of a group of studies looking the dental benefits of xylitol concluded with a very alarming headline. What they really found, after scrutinizing the study, is that what we’ve known to be true; low doses of xylitol are not as effective at reducing dental decay as higher doses. So, gums where xylitol is listed as an afterthought, won’t give you the kind of results you’ll get using gums with only xylitol as the sweetener.
Join me as Dr. Peldyak talks about the study with me and fills us in on the true magic that is xylitol in this special extended episode of Cross Link Radio.

Has anyone, besides me, ever wondered why those we are told are so beautiful are often times not and those who we are told are not often times are? Remember that popular girl or boy in high school who seemed to get all of the breaks and attention and everyone wanted to be seen with only to finally get a chance to hang out with them and learn that there was nothing really there. Quite disappointing wasn’t it especially if you sacrificed truly good friends to get the opportunity to rub elbows with them.
How about that unpopular girl or boy that everyone advised you to stay away from and even though you wanted to heed their advice, you slip one day and actually have a conversation with them. It was then you learned that all you had heard about them was wrong and that there was so much more there, it would take you a life time to learn. Each day was exciting to be around them and each day came with a lifelong lesson attached. You enjoyed being in their presence so much that it even made you a better person to be around them.
