Craig Bergman: ISIS threatens US will experience another 9/11

    in Politics Conservative

    Showtime:8AM-10AM EST

Craig Bergman, Political Insider and Strategist, IRS Insider, and Religious and Culture Expert, Gulf War I Veteran

The Islamic State has released a new 11-minute video called “We Will Burn America” that calls for supporters to attack the American homeland and promises another 9/11. Even as President Obama and his top civilian and military aides express growing confidence that Iraqi troops backed by allied airstrikes have blunted the Islamic State’s momentum on the ground in Iraq and undermined its base of support in Syria, other officials acknowledge they have barely made a dent in the larger, longer-term campaign to kill the ideology that animates the terrorist movement.

Craig Bergman, Political Insider and Strategist, will be joining me "In the Pickle Barrel" to elaborate on the recent proclamation by ISIS and what this new message means to our country.

Brad Absher, Amanda Fish, 2 Couch Kid New Musics - Hank Mowery & Peter Novelli

    in Music

SHOW # 266 - Live, Uncut & Uncensored Conversations With "Musicians You Should Know"

Brad Absher is out of Houston, Texas and he and his band, Swamp Royale, have been a fixture on the Gulf Coast for over 20 years and he has appeared at the IBC getting to the finals. His new album is entitled Lucky Dog and Brad and I will explore his musical journey and speak about the album and where the band is headed next.

I got to meet Amanda Fish at the IBC this past January.  She was in town to just meet people, play a little and let people know about her new album, Down In The Dirt.   She actually gave me a self-burned copy of the master of the album when we chatted On The Couch. I knew I had to bring her onto a Monday show and show some love, because the album is great.  In March, Vizztone picked her up, so if you don’t know about Samantha’s big sister now, you will soon!  And this is also the first set of siblings we have had on the show!

Hank Mowery first sat on The Couch back in October of 2013.  He is back on a Couch Kid New Music Segment for his new release Excuses Plenty and we will talk about what Hank and The Hawktones have been up to since we last spoke and share this hot off the presses release with you.

Back in July of 2014, Peter Novelli came and sat On The Couch for a Couch Kid New Music Segment and shared PRE-MASTERS for his upcoming album, St. Amant Sessions.  Well, the album is finally done and Peter had his CD Release in the Dominican Republic last week and this week we get to share the finished product and maybe even compare a song or two from back in July!

4 20 Verses Medical Marijuana on the ghetto truth in Stereo

    in Health

When men make unjust laws about a natural plant which cures, correct pain and relaxes the human body more than any Pharma drug could, I say, “Spark It!”, and for some Cancer patients who are grateful to get their THC’s in bakery goods, teas, candy, or etc., enjoy it. Anyone who has ever been in pain could advocate this, because if you could imagine someone being in pain 24-7, this natural plant, is the savior. The lawmakers become politically pompous when they have their fingertips in the industry of Medical Marijuana and at the same time, you’re in jail if you’re not purchasing cannabis from the .GOV.

There are about 23 states Medical Marijuana could be found and no surprise here, there are no Bible Belt states included in the 23.  4 20 is coming and for a lot of people, every day is 4 20 and on your next hit, say a prayer for the lawmakers and affirm they take a puff and ease up.  On the ‘ghetto truth’ in stereo, we’re going to talk about some pros and myths in the use of Hemp and Cannabis. This segment is open discussion and a Non users opinion of 4 20 and Medical Marijuana are welcome  of course, so tune into the ghetto truth in stereo and see what shows up out of the dark.

Bonnie Kaye's Straight Wives Talk Show featuring Melanie Tonia Evans

    in Women

Tonight Bonnie Kaye's guest is Melanie Tonia Evans who will be calling from Australia to discuss her methods of healing from a relationship with someone who has narcissistic abuse. Melanie teaches you how to focus on healing yourself, become empowered, and remove yourself from the narcissist's ability to affect or abuse you.

Her healing and self-development processes are not just about breaking free; they are also about evolving every area of your life to a far greater reality that it ever has been, even before you were narcissistically abused.

Melanie states, "Absolutely, regardless of the losses, pain and damage you have experienced, or whether you are still in the relationship or you left decades ago, whether you are 18 or 80 years of age, and regardless of whether you are a man, woman, straight or gay – I can help you free yourself."

When Alcohol Becomes a Hiding Place

    in Motivation

The last season the show aired, I spoke on how sex can become a hiding place for many people. In this show I want to touch on how alcohol can also be used as a coping mechanism to deal with major pain, disappointment, shame, etc. So many people drink alcohol and do not realize that they are drinking it for far deeper reasons than to just "get tipsy" or because the taste is enjoyed.

I just want to point out that a person does not necessarily have to classified as an alchoholic to have an alchohol problem. So many people are able to function pretty well with alchohol and other drugs. They are able to hide it well and carry on with their external lives as if nothing is wrong. Sometimes others, especially close loved ones, are able to tell that something is wrong, but are not always able to pinpoint the causes and the true depth of the issue.

I wanted to speak on this because I have experienced this very destructive secret life. This may help someone who is currently struggling or someone who might think they know someone who is.

According to the National Institute on Alchohol Abuse and Alcoholism, in the United States nearly 88,000 people die annually (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women). Alcohol is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US. Therefore, this is a serious thing and it needs to be addressed. God does not intend for us to suffer in this way.

What has suffered most has been the arts.  Although some may regard art education as a luxury, simple creative activities are some of the building blocks of child development. Learning to create and appreciate the arts may be more important than ever to the development of the next generation of children as they grow up.

Know by so many, the Arts play a major role in the Developmental of a child.  Some of the benefits include; motor skills, language development, decision making, visual learning, inventiveness and cultural awareness.  It is also well know that the arts clear make an impact and improve academic performance.
