Suicide from a Spiritual Perspective with Guest Author Rev. Anne Puryear

    in Spirituality

Awake 2 Oneness Radio with Guest Author Rev. Anne Puryear, co- founder of The Logos Center with her husband Herb, Friday March 27th, 2015 at 7:00 pm EST. The 3rd show is the series "Suicide from a Perspective".

Anne is the author of the book "Stephen Lives!". This is the book she wrote after her 15 year old son committed suicide. I was listening to the audio book of Conversations with God book 3 and heard Neale Donald Walsch mention this book when he was talking about suicide. I contacted Anne and I am so honored to have her as a guest on my show.

Anne and her husband Herb are the founders of The Logos Center in Scottsdale, AZ, and she is the author of Messages from God.

The name, Logos, is taken from the book of John, where the Greek word "Logos" is translated as "The Word," which is understood to refer to the COSMIC CHRIST. Their practical Christian mysticism is based upon the respect and enjoyment of the world's rich spiritual traditions which all bear witness that God is the One Force at work in the universe. "Every human being has been made in His "image" and we are destined to conform to His "image" as we Awaken to our oneness with Him".

    Why is Religious Fanaticism Growing?

    in Women

    Why is Religious Fanaticism Growing?

Why do people kill in the name of God? Paula Fouce knows firsthand how religion can be misused after being trapped in a religious riot and nearly losing her life.

Afterward, she began a quest to find solutions to this crisis of intolerance and fanatacism. She met Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama and many inspiring religious
leaders who all say the cycle of hatred can be broken. “Not in God’s Name” is her book, and film. It follows the Dalai Lama’s advice and puts his ideas into action as it tackles fundamentalism and religious intolerance. Paula Fouce has worked in South Asia for many years, including Pakistan and Afghanistan. She’s produced five films on religion and tolerance that have aired on PBS.
Her latest project is “No Asylum: The Family of Anne Frank”, which includes newly discovered information about the Franks trying to emigrate to safety during the Holocaust.

Hot Hitz DJ interviews indie artists Young Memph, Khatib, and UENO

    in Music

    Young Memph

Age of 21 born in the City of Memphis TN, Frayser area by way of Atlanta GA.. Young Memph has been influenced by artist such as Yo Gotti, Mr Bigs, The Isley Brothers, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Biggie & Tupac. Yet to date his greatest influence remains to be his sisters that taught him how to drop bars. Young Memph moved to Atlanta at the age of 12 and started recording at 13.

Memph states “he knew his music was good but not good enough” and started to make music all could enjoy, by not overpowering his musical creations with profanity . Not to say he has gone soft or lost his edge, his craft proves he can go bar for bar with the best of them with so much personality and distinctive swagger in his flow one can’t help but listen close for his next punch line or how Memph will deliver his next verse, while proudly holding his head high when his mother listens to his musical

    Khatib

Born April 8th, 1983 in Hayti, Missouri, Khatib had the normal, small town country living. Making due with what he had made him appreciate things at a young age. "I didn't have the best or much but whatever it was meant the world to me," recalls the lyrically gifted emcee. Growing up in the shadow of his older brother, Khatib participated in sports. Even though he was fairly talented in them, he felt athletics wasn't his calling. "That was my older brother's thing, my mom had me doing it because he did it" says Khatib. Dealing with feeling neglected from riffs between his parents, a young Khatib turned to music as an escape. The poetic satire of the artists only intrigued the young lad. It wasn't until the infamous butt whooping Khatib received for saying Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Doggystyle" album cover was going to be him, that he knew what his career path would be.
