    Coalition to Reduce Spending

    in Self Help

Jonathan Bydlak and Rebekah Johansen of Coalition to Reduce Spending join Michael to talk about their organization.  The Coalition attacks spending like Grover Norquist's Group, Americans for Tax Reform, attacks taxes.  The group offers candidates a pledge which promises not to increase spending without an offset elsewhere. Senator Ted Cruz, South Carolina’s Mark Sanford, Georgia’s Doug Collins and Paul Broun, and Ohio’s Steve Chabot have signed the pledge.

The group discusses spending trends, how wars impact spending, as well as mechanisms to keep spending in check.  They also talk about the Budget Control Act (BCA) caps and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) cuts.  Bydlak and Johansen applaud members who are beginning to turn to these as avenues to curtail spending and programs ripe for cutting.

The Coalition advocates for a holistic approach to spending rather than a partisan approach where the left refuses to examine entitlements while the right views the defense budget as sacrosanct.  However, it seems many new conservative house members are more open to the idea of putting Pentagon programs on the chopping block when these projects fail to deliver objectives or become white elephants.

Coalition to Reduce Spending advocates an approach that would keep the government spending within its means.  They realize that the government spends money.  They just encourage the government to take a flexible approach that allows it so spend money, but just asks that an increase in a budget for one program or project be met with an offset from another program or project.  Visit Coalition to Reduce Spending to learn more.

Workingclass, Fight Tooth and Nail Like Wealthy Boehner & Company Fights

    in Politics

The 2014 midterm election was fought tooth and nail by Republicans. The group fighting tooth and nail are referred to as the GOP. The GOP is a collective body of politicians. GOP are mostly republicans but includes lots of  democrats, independents & libertarians. They all support the wealthiest of citizens. And all these citizens they support are not politicians. These citizens are not your neighbors. These 1% citizens are CEOs, entertainers, athletes & merchants. What happened prior to midterm election was politicians, who we refer to as the GOP worked tooth and nail to deceive the workingclass. GOP know the workingclass is busy trying to stay above water in their daily lives. Therefore the GOP goal was to wait until the workingclass tune in after labor day, and then pretend the economy to be worse that it is to lie and say they have tried and fail to be able to engage PBO in creating jobs. Yes we do have clueless workingclass. This is nothing new. What's new is having politicians work against workingclass citizens to favor the wealthies people in America.

The GOP was able to put their fingers in the eyes of workingclass with the help of the media from September through election day with lies. Lack of jobs, healthcare, ebola, isis, irs, bengazi was part of Boehner's tooth and nail process. From September through Nov 4th election day, the problems in the lives of ordinary Americans was passed off as PBO did it. The truth is it was the republicans who brought the country almost to depression, and it was PBO and some of the Democrats who prevented a depression. We have to blame the clueless workingclass voters and workingclass non-voters. The workingclass did not fight tooth and nail to bring back jobs, keep ACA, and gain increase in minimum wages, and to keep corporations out of our lives.
