Taylor's Detroit Sports Show - Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at 11:00-11:30 PM EST

    in Sports

The Red Wings finish their 6-game road trip at Buffalo with the Sabres and in St. Louis with the Blues, and then they return home to face the Nashville Predators.  How much ice time can Petr Mrazek handle while Jimmy Howard favors his slight groin tear on the injured reserve? What can Teemu Pulkkinen do on the ice, while Johan Franzen is also injured? Can the Wings also finally consider calling up Anthony Mantha from the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins?

Can the Pistons keep their ball rolling after their epic matchup with the Raptors in Toronto? They have the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers, and Philadelphia 76ers all on hand.

Can the Wolverines defeat the Buckeyes in Columbus? They also play the Northwestern Wildcats at home.

The Spartans rematch with the 11th-ranked Maryland Terrapins on the road.

More college basketball in the mitten to report.

The Tigers avoid arbitration with David Price and sign him to a 1-year deal worth $19.75 million. However, they are legitimately about to lose Max Scherzer to the Nationals.

    Sports Talk Saturday

    in Sports

Sports Talk Saturday with your hosts Brian and Joe. It is Championship weekend in the NFL with some entertaining match ups. In the AFC we have Manning vs Brady....again, and in the NFC we have the two best teams going at it in Seattle and San Francisco. The two will break down each game, and give you their predictions.

Last night was a good night for basketball. You had the Clippers visiting the Garden to take on the Knicks, and then a showdown between the Thunder and Warriors in Oklahoma. In the college game, you had the Canisius Griffins battling for first place in the MAAC against Iona, and what a game Billy Baron played. He will find his way onto an NBA roster.

In other college hoops actions today, we have #2 Syracuse hosting an overrated #22 Pittsburgh. In another ranked match up we have #9 Oklahoma St and Marcus Smart traveling to #15 Kansas. Some other intriguig contests include #25 Oklahoma at #12 Baylor and then of course the #23 ranked Duke Blue Devils hosting NC State at 2pm.

Make sure you call in as we will recap the week that was in sports
