Social Media vs Real Life - Is Social Media Destroying Relationships?
There's no doubt social media enables us to organize our real-world relationships, and even meet new people
But could social networking have an adverse effect on our quality of life?
Consider this: 24% of respondents to one survey said they've missed out on enjoying special moments in person because — ironically enough — they were too busy trying to document their experiences for online sharing. Many of us have had to remind ourselves
to "live in the now" — instead of worry about composing the perfect tweet or angling for just the right Instagram shot. Worldwide, Facebook users spend 10.5 billion minutes each day surfing the site, that's nearly 20 years per day that people spend living online instead of offline.
Tonight we will be discussing etiquette. You know that thing your parents tried to teach you even though they super ratchet. People should be allowed to act and speak as they please, we agree, and that's why we are going to try to teach you a more proper way to be yourself. From dressing appropriately for the occasion to social media. We got you covered. Join in on the conversation!

Tune in tonight, Kate Baltzell of Trees Atlanta stops in to share the history and mission since 1985 of addressing tree loss, protecting trees and creating green space. Listen to hear how this organization has made a impact on Atlanta 96,000 trees later.
Don't miss this show!
1. Darren Walker, BEAN founder
Having been a business man from a very early age, Darren Walker became frustrated with the challenges of limited access to people and resources that could advance his business and personal endeavors. Thus, Walker created Black Economic Advancement Network (BEAN) to provide a way for African Americans to connect with business owners and capital to make it easier to identify and support each other’s businesses.
At age 25, Walker—together with his friend and partner Dustin Young established GOES (Green Opportunities Energy Solutions). GOES was the first among the companies then incubating at Moore Norman Technology Center whose sales exceeded $1 million in its first year of operation at the Business Development Center where it started.
Darren Walker is the youngest of six children born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been happily married to Lucy Walker for eight years, with whom he has two precious daughters, a toddler and an infant.

Betsy's work has always gravitated toward the media. A Philadelphia native with a B.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Betsy worked as an account executive for WFIL radio in Philadelphia, and from there went to radio stations WPEN and WFLN. After that, she became a commercial print model and acted in television commercials in Philadelphia and New York. From 1987 to 1999, she worked in Los Angeles at the motion picture and television company Castle Rock Entertainment as the Assistant to the Chairman and CEO. In August '99, she followed her boss to Warner Bros. and became his Executive Assistant, as he assumed the position of President and COO, and stayed until she retired in 2005. Betsy is now writing full time. LoveHuman offers valuable guidance regarding how to find comfort in a world where uncomfortable things happen. It answers questions regarding where you come from, where you are going, and why you are here. The message helps us embrace the world as it is and the people around us as they are—and love whatever that is. Not because it’s a perfect world, but because as we love and accept life as it is, love and acceptance grow.
Karen A. Lehman is the Executive Director of the Episcopal Actors' Guild of America (EAG). Founded in 1923, EAG is a charitable organization that provides emergency assistance and career support to local, professional performers "of all faiths, and none."
Professionally, Karen has spent her time pursuing two passions: being of service and the performing arts. After graduating from the University of Delaware, Karen worked in Student Affairs for both SUNY and Pennsylvania State University, as well as with Libetae, a woman's halfway house in her home state of Pennsylvania.
During this time, Karen also continued to perform on stage, eventually moving to New York to study at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, and working as an actress for several years after that.
In 2006, Karen's two passions were brought together in one job when she was hired as the Assistant Director of EAG. Shortly after, in 2008, Karen was named Executive Director. Under her leadership, EAG has greatly expanded its programs and services to include The Headshot Project (free, professional headshots for clients of EAG) and The Actors' Pantry, which provides groceries to EAG clients and their families.
As Executive Director, Karen has also established a very active volunteer program as well as a successful program for Young Professionals.
