Yesterday my wife and I attended the Virginia Mother chapter’s annual cookout. It was a very nice event and we had a good time.
However the most moving and greatest things that I experienced happened after the cookout was over. Here had the pleasure to meet up with a couple of the members of the Central Virginia Buffalo Soldiers MC at a local Wawa in Fredericksburg Va. While we were talking a young lady walked up to us and started talking. The women explain that her and her family had fallen on hard times. Like have fallen upon many. Anyway without batting the VP of the Central Virginia Chapter riding name White Buffalo (Petee) reached into his pocket and handed that young lady the funds to assist her and family. He only asked that when their conditions were better that they paid it forward. I have been in the Soldier Nation for 8 years and that was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
Great example for us all. If we do not help each other in the end we will all fail.
Outstanding – If we had more selfless people like him in the world it would be amazing.
“I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

Mompreneur Mother and Daughter Debi Dutton and Elissa Sungar, founders of If Not You, Who.org are here with Productive Play and how important physical activity is for your preschooler. Debi and Elissa are here on Word of Mom Radio every 3rd Wednesday a month to share great tips, ideas and activities to better prepare your kids for kindergarten.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture the prevalence of obesity for children ages 2 to 5 since the early 1970’s has almost doubled. The National Association for Sports and Physical Education recommends that preschoolers accumulate at least 60 minutes of structured and another 60 minutes of unstructured physical activity a day. These two facts led us to the topic of our radio show today for Productive Play - putting physical activity into the everyday life of a preschooler. But while kids under 6 love to move - we need to encourage fitness in a fun manner. On our show, we share some balloon activities and other information to help preschoolers develop a joy for movement because it offers so many lifelong benefits.
