    Strength & Italy in February

    in Spirituality

For my meditations most of this month will be based on Strength and as we go through the year, I believe unless deterred for some reason or feelings I will follow Unity.org's 12 Powers for the year. Look for wisdom, power, love and imagination in the upcoming months.

Our power this month is represented in the color green, spring green to be exact, and is situated in our loins. When I think of green, I see health and the green of trees, fields and progress. More than half my life I've had the call to go to Italy. When you see pictures of Italy isn't it always filled with the green rolling hills of Tuscany Valley, then the various tourist spots. Italy almost connotes a beautiful green tranquil destination.

This morning come with me on our mind's eye journey of the Italian  Amalfi Coast. Release the stressors of the previous week or wedding planning for a walk along its beautiful lush green coastline, filled with flowers, green grass the water's edge and regain your strength.

    The Prodigal Child

    in The Bible

I wanted to speak on the story of the prodigal son. Just like the show on the story of Adam and Eve (Your Eyes Will Be Open), many have read the story of the son who ran away and came back home. Just like the other show, I know the Lord will lead us to hear a whole different perspect and/or remind us of things we might need to be reminded of.

My life is a perfect example and I know there are some who can also relate to being a prodigal child. It can be so easy to leave God and go out and try to find something better only to return barely hanging on. However, thank God for being a God who welcomes us back in his arms when we are sincere and is not as many humans who will exclaim, "I Told You So!" and many other phrases.

I am looking forward to speaking on being a prodigal child and how the Lord can use our rebellion for his glory and our good. My hope is the show also encourages those who have always remained with God to continue on and to see that the grass is not greener on the other side.

Luke 15:24 "For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry."

This One Step - Older Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

    in Psychology

    Monday -              Release YOUR Pain

                            Let Go of YOUR Suffering

                            Break YOUR Silence

Monday’s show is dedicated to survivors who need to take that one step and reveal the truth.  Please don’t think of this special step as being exposed to the world and fearing the worst from people if you tell us what happened to you as a child, but instead know that you have been traumatized enough.  You never did anything wrong.   You deserve and should demand that this load of crap that has been dumped on you be cleaned off of you and out of you!! This trauma is no longer yours!!  Take your poisonous secret, put it in a bag and throw it in the trash.  It is out, gone and never to return because you can’t be a victim ever again!!!  He no longer has that power over you!!

It is very true that the damage that he or she has caused is very real and you probably feel tore up from the floor up, but that is just it!  You are now able to heal.  You have stopped the damage and the profuse bleeding and the painful recovery begins.  The healing path is stretched as far as your eyes can see and in fact, the ending is never seen by our eyes, but the path is a different path.  It is a life being surrounded by people who support us and we seek healthy people and make healthier choices.

Welcome!  And it all begins with This One Step.

When the bible collide with ancient world history it's universal disaster!

    in Music

Humans are part of a universe that is older and larger than we can begin to imagine. How was this universe created? How was the earth created? How and when were our ancestors created? What is our place in the universe? Are?we important, or are we insignificant? This Big Era sets the stage for human history. It is about the creation of our environment, of the world we live in, its landscapes, its plants and animals. It is also about the evolutionary steps that led to the creation of our species, Homosapiens. Understanding this era is vital if we are to grasp how human history fits into the larger history of our earth and the universe as a whole. This is because our ideas about the universe, the earth, and our own existence as a species affect how we think about ourselves and our history. They help us understand our place in the larger universe of which we are a part. In thinking about this story, notice that God first made the entire physical and natural environment, everything from the stars to green grass, then fashioned human beings and put them into this setting. In the creation story that modern science tells, the environment was also created before humans, but the time scales are very different. According to modern science, humans evolved on a planet that had already existed for over four-and-a-half billion years. The terrestrial environment shaped the creation of our species. Moreover, the environment of the earth was itself the product of the earlier history of the cosmos as a whole. Consequently, in introducing Big Era One we must begin at the beginning, setting the debut of Homo sapiens within the largest possible scene in both time and space.
