Another Vettel Win at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi Sunday November 3, 2013
Red Bull champion Sebastian Vettel cruised into a 7th consecutive win around the beautiful Yas Marina race circuit. The Formula 1 race was at night under the lights, in front of a sold out crowd. Crossing the finish line second, was the much-deserved Australian, Mark Webber, Vettel's red bull teammate.
Third place became uncertain during the last few laps. For several laps throughout the race frenchman Romain Grojean with Lotus, was the sure bet to make third place. Changing track conditions and changing fortunes on the track, netted a third place finish for Nico Rosberg, with Mercedes, instead of Grosjean.
Prior to today's race, Grosjean had three consecutive podiums, and has done a great job for the Lotus team.
Rosberg’s win will keep the Mercedes team in the running for second place in the constructors.
America’s favorite F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, also with Mercedes, had car issues on Saturday during qualifying, and again on race day. He's looking forward to the race in the United States at Circuit of the Americas, where he took the win in 2012.
The next race is the USGP in big bad Austin Nov 15-17.
As East's reputation grew on the L.A. session scene, so did his job calls. From that point on, East worked consistently. He toured with Loggins appearing with the singer at Live Aid in 1985. Eric Clapton heard Nathan and invited him to join his band. With keyboardist Greg Phillinganes and drummer Phil Collins, they toured the world over and performed multiple concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall which resulted in the release of Clapton's "24 Nights" CD, (1988). With Clapton, he would go on to record numerous CD's including Journeyman, August, Behind The Sun, Pilgrim, Reptile and the Multi-Grammy Award winning multi-platinum Clapton MTV Unplugged CD.In 1990, while in the studio recording Bob James' Grand Piano Canyon album, the keyboardist asked East, Lee Ritenour, and Harvey Mason if they'd be interested in forming a group where each member would be an equal partner and could contribute songs. James, who at the time held an executive position at Warner Bros.' jazz A&R department, got them a deal with the label; a couple of months later, the group now known as Fourplay began recording their debut album. Their first record, 1991′s Fourplay, sold over a million copies and remained at the number one position on Billboard's contemporary jazz charts for 33 weeks. Their next LP, 1993′s Between the Sheets, reached number one, went gold, and received a Grammy nomination. In 1995, their third gold album, Elixir, inherited the number one position from Kenny G's Breathless and remained on the charts for more than 90 weeks. Fourplay's 4 album entered the jazz charts at number one when guitarist Larry Carlton joined the band. Now, after fifteen years together, nine CD's and 5 Grammy nominations, Fourplay's X CD debuted at number one (Billboard Contemporary Jazz) remaining there for more than two months.
Join Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Mercedes Dash as they talk about Meaningful Living and how it is sometimes achieved by transitioning. Sometimes we have to go through many stages of change to eventually achieve the peace and life that we want. To ensure that life is worth living, one must live a meaningful life. To achieve that life, one sometimes has to transition. Transitioning or changing becomes a part of the process of growth and development. For some transitioning is a continuous process until you reach that point of self-actualization — where you know yourself, value your self-worth and love who you are.
When adversity hit Mercedes due to the loss of her family’s business, Mercedes decided to look deeply into herself to find out was heart-centered and soul-filling for her. Taking care of children was her love and passion having brought up 4 sons and taken care of her seven grand-children. Mercedes also went back to college where she took a course in Early Childhood Development to better prepare her for her role in education. Mercedes is also a serial-entrepreneur recently opening an in-home preschool and childcare. In September of this year Mercedes added a new business; a children’s party business which is named Children’s Party to Go.

Becoming better than you are is hard. It takes longer than we expect. It is harder than we imagined.
Easier to accept what we are and rationalize isn't it? Yes, our Lodges are crowded with what I call the initiated diaspora- men who came to the door of freemasonry unaware of the daunting challenges, the risks, the potential for failure.
To ease my burden, could that I would abandon my brother. Being a man of some conscience I cannot. It would be wreckless to think there is a task for me that is part of my development; mentoring him toward the enlightenment.
If the tasks were easy, we would not be initiated. They are purposeful challenges. To discovered what is that purpose, is part of what brings meaning to a life.
Weak willed masons are the fodder that distracts us. Perhaps better for the effort; without petty distraction, bickering whinging, without question we would be focused on growing the ideas of freemasonry. Oh my goodness; a focus on theology, philosophy; we would be well on. Today, humiltity has morphed into self-consciousness that requires a great suppression of facts.
We have a confusing mixture of chain-of-command and self-directed learning that needs our collective attention gentlemen. Stepping onto the level, is horizontal not lateral.
After 156 years, we are barely able to best our betters the citizens ready to take to the parapits at the hinted enhancement of ceremony.
Why doesn't the look and presence of the Craft echo the uniqueness of Arts, History, Science and Philosophy? Where oh where have the antiquaries gone.
Discovere the Grand Lodge Temple. It does exist. Marble, bronze, powerful, beautiful, of another time, of another place. The imagination teases us by leaving it right there- its worth a trip to Germelshausen but don't take my word.

Formula 1 Qualifying at the Abu Dhabi Yas Marina Circuit
Saturday November 2, 2013
Qualifying day was met with ups, downs, controversy and surprise.
After the race in Abu Dhabi there are only two races left in the Formula 1 season. The USGP in Austin Texas and the Brazil race.
The 2013 season is the swan song for the very likeable Mark Webber, who just made pole position by beating the time of teammate and red bull champion, Sebastian Vettel.
The down was fan favorite and 2008 champion, Lewis Hamilton who qualified fourth but was unable to finish Q3 because his car broke-down. The Mercedes driver is in a great position to take the number two or three spot on points, and help his team land in second position in the constructors.
Abu Dhabi was not without controversy when the ice-man, Kimi Raikkonen, with Lotus F1 held a press conference to clear up rumors of trouble between him and team heads.
The usually shy Raikkonen said the issues were about money. He went on to say he had not been paid all year and he might not race on Sunday unless, something was worked out. This is Kimi’s last season with Lotus F1 because he made a deal with the Ferrari team and will drive for them next season.
The big surprise during qualifying was Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso who did not make it into the top ten. Alonso will be starting in 11th place on race day which has put his team chances of second place, in jeopardy.
Stay tuned to Xiro Xone News F1 updates.

Viga is passionate about helping others overcome the pain of child sexual abuse and getting victims to stop the silence that contributes to continuing violence and abuse. She urges all to speak out from under incest and child sexual abuse for the sake of today’s child and tomorrow’s adult.
