Since 2008, Big Tobacco and The Pickers have been bringing their unique brand of traditional country to bar rooms, taverns, halls and festivals around Ontario. Their ongoing monthly residency at Toronto roots institution The Cameron House has gained them a loyal following of country music fans. Regular appearances at legendary rooms like The Dakota Tavern and The Cadillac Lounge have helped develop their gritty live show into what it is today - a glimpse back at the golden age of country music. Their renditions of the classics, along with traditional sounding original material, will make you and your friends want to dance all night & drink too much. From the rich tones of the pedal steel, to the hot licks of the Fender Telecaster, Big Tobacco and the Pickers deliver a new brand of country music, true to old school tradition.

Adrian Castellanos is a 22 year-old HIV/AIDS advocate/activist. He was born and raised in the Southern-most part of Texas, known as the Rio Grande Valley. A border area of Texas to Mexico and South Padre Island. Adrian studied art and fashion briefly in Texas before he moved on to becoming a hair stylist in his home town.
At 21, Castellanos' path was redirected when he was diagnosed with AIDS. While he spent two weeks in a hospital room, he decided to "make his mess his message". Since his diagnosis on March 26, 2014 he has gone on to receive a Youth Initiative Scholarship to attend USCA in October 2014, acquire a position with the Valley AIDS Council (the only HIV/AIDS Agency in his area) Janurary 2015, and receive a separate scholarship to attend AIDSWatch in April 2015 where he lobbied Congress regarding HIV/AIDS issues.
Adrian now spends his time doing free HIV screenings at two universities in his area and for the community with his agency. He also participates in outreach and education efforts to raise awareness within his community. Castellanos utilizes social media to deconstruct stigma and engage with as many people as possible. He is just out of his first year of diagnoses but already has a strong outlook on what he plans to do for the fight to end the epidemic.

Jeremiah 3:3-8 "Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed. Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth? Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest. The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also."
If you have Hashimoto's but haven't gone into remission (it's possbile!), then I recommend you tune into this show. If you have a thyroid disorder, but haven't been checked for anti-thyroid antibodies, tune in as well.
If you have unexplained fatigue or an inability to lose weight, then listen in to learn if your thyroid may be involved. Lastly, if you'd like to avoid autoimmune diseases in your future, come and learn more about how these diseases progress, so you can make the best choices now.
Izabella Wentz was a young woman, newly married and professionally trained as a pharmacist, when she found out she had Hashimoto's Thyroiditits, an autoimmune condition in which the body's immune system is mistakenly attacking the thyroid gland.
She began a passionate exploration on the origins of this disease, and began to journal her findings and self-experiments. Her efforts got her into remission, and also produced her in-depth book, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis: Lifestyle Interventions for Finding and Treating the Root Cause. Her book was a 2014 New York Times Bestseller in the health category.
What she discovered was that her disease process had begun many years earlier, with symptoms like frequent colds and an irritable gut. She also discovered the way to unwind her symptoms and ultimately halt the progression of the disease. Check out Izabella's website here.
