You won't believe what Dinesh D'Souza had to say to Brooklyn GOP Radio in an EXCLUSIVE interview that we'll air Wednesday at 9PM!
Dinesh D’Souza has had a 25-year career as a writer, scholar, and public intellectual. A former policy analyst in the Reagan White House, D’Souza also served as John M. Olin Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He served as the president of The King’s College in New York City from 2010 to 2012.
Called one of the “top young public-policy makers in the country” by Investor’s Business Daily, D’Souza quickly became known as a major influencer on public policy through his writings.
Most recently, D'Souza, the creator of 2016: Obama's America, has taken us on a journey of discovery that bringsyou face-to-face with the heroes who built America, in the times in which they lived, bled, and sacrificed in order to build a great nation: Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and others. You'll be there as Columbus sets foot on American soil, as bullets whiz by in the acclaimed book-turned-film, America.
What he told us about his thoughts of Republican politics today will definitely get your attention! Tune in!
Brooklyn GOP Radio welcomed a friend of the show who will be discussing the latest on the crises in the Middle East - Van Hipp, Former Deputy Asst. Secretary of the Army under President George H.W. Bush.
In 1990, Van Hipp was sworn in as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Reserve Forces and Mobilization). In this capacity, he served as the Army Secretariat’s “point man” for the successful mobilization, and then demobilization, of the Army’s reserve forces for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Van is currently the Chairman of American Defense International, Inc. (ADI), a Washington, DC based consulting firm specializing in government affairs, business development and public relations who is an expert commentator on the War on Terror and has been a guest on virtually every major cable news network’s major news programming.

(GOP) — They Could Change, But They Won’t
Thu Aug 7th, 2014 at 12:32:26 PM EST
Rand Paul lays down some truth:
“The party can’t become the opposite of what it is. If you tell people from Alabama, Mississippi or Georgia, ‘You know what, guys, we’ve been wrong, and we’re gonna be the pro-gay-marriage party,’ they’re either gonna stay home or — I mean, many of these people joined the Republican Party because of these social issues. So I don’t think we can completely flip.”
It’s really a choice. Does the GOP want to compete in states outside of the Deep South and make themselves into a viable national party that can win a presidential election?
The answer is ‘no.’
And, for now, this is a very good thing.
The Man. Is Back. Russell Gallo returns to Brooklyn GOP Radio!
Plus, scheduled to come on the show is Bob Antonacci, the attorney / CPA that is the Republican candidate for State Comptroller and the current Comptroller of Onondaga County here in New York. He'll be talking about his upcoming fundraiser at MCU Park, what exactly a Comptroller does and why you should care - a lot.
All that, plus we wanna know WHO YA GOT for this week's Buffoon of the Week!
It appears many have forgotten there are more issues facing American than the ISIS issue.
Believe it, or not, There is still a "border crisis", there are primary elections going on around the country, and the GOP is making a strong push to take the Senate and keep the House.
in addition, the frontrunners likely to seek the GOP nomination for President are starting to make the "political rounds" to States with "influence".
Jump "In the Pickle Barrel" with us this morning 7AM-8:30AM as we take a look at these and other issues.
Join Gene Berardelli and Russell Gallo for a round-up of the week that was, including discussions of Gov. Rick Perry's indictment, ISIS beheading of an american journalist and the lack of reaction from the Obama administration, to the up--to-date situation in Ferguson, to the tweet that landed Justin Timberlake in some hot water and so much more. Plus, was that Vito Palmeri caught on tape dancing and singing at a ballgame? Is he up for Buffoon of the Week AGAIN?!?
It is time Americans take down the GOP veil of deceit and work once again to strengthen American Unions. Unions are responsible for everything good about working class Americans way of life. GOP lobbyist are responsible for everything that has contributed to the crushing of American unions. The top 1% of Americans own 42 percent of the USA. Without unions being in American history, think about what America would look like today. Our soldiers are on food stamps all across America. A lady dies in Florida because of lack of finances to purchase life saving drugs. A lady dies in New Jersey, while sleeping in her vehicle, getting rested up so she could work a second shift on her full time job. Unions are representative of workers. The union is a collective body that speaks and negotiates the wishes of workers to CEOs and politicians. Lobbyist are a collective body that speaks and negotiates the wishes of CEOs to politicians.
Without unions would USA have:
Ended child labor
40 hour work week and paid overtime
Worker's comp benefits for workers injured on the job
Unemployment insurance for workers who lose their jobs
A guaranteed minimum wage for workers
Pensions for workers
Healthcare insurance for workers
Paid sick leave, vacations, and holidays as standard benefits for most workers
the right for public sector workers to collectively bargain
Occupational Safety and Health Act
Family Medical Leave Act
Lobbyist are there for American Legislative Exchange Council, who are a body of corporations, headed up by CEOs whose goal is to develop wealth through massive unemployment of the American worker. This happens because of the GOP. GOP protects CEOs with laws to outsource US jobs, and bring in Foreign workers to do jobs, claiming Americans won't do the jobs, or can't do the jobs. Call this crap!
Join Gene Berardelli and "Gallo Seat" invitee Diana Sepulveda, former chair of the NY State Young Republicans and the current President of the Brooklyn Young Republicans, as they discuss their weekend trip to the NYSYR Summer Meeting - you may be shocked by what they say!
Plus, show contributor Matthew Fairley, Vice-Chair of the Brooklyn GOP, makes a modest proposal - ending filibusting. WHA? Has he gone completely RINO on us?!? Tune in to find out.
We'll also wrap up the week that was!
And how can we forget, Buffoon of the Week! "Who Ya Got" this week! Join us in the chat to nominate your own choice for Buffoon and to vote on the final selection!
GOP blocks bills American need and citizens actually vote over and over for the GOP. I can't help but wander who those voter are. In America today, there still lives great numbers of people were actually threatened with loss of lives if they dared go out to vote. People still live whose job was jeopardized if they went and voted. People are actually dead today, because they failed to listen to the threats of death if they even spoke in favor of voting. Today, Americans rank 125 out of 169 countries in lowest voter turnout. What about these numbers makes Americans exceptional? Why does so many American find voting to not be of interest? Why does so many Amerians vote for people who do things that cause more harm than do. What prevents Americans from benefiting from the opportunities available to them.
GOP blocks bills that will save lives of citizens;
put Americans back to work;
assure women access to reproductive services without taking a road trip;
provide jobless with unemployment benefits;
provide support services, jobs and medical assistance to veterans
repair roads and bridges which prevents deaths by neglience and extends the lives of vehicles as well as save money on unncessary repairs.
Voting is the opportunity for Americans to build better roads, schools, hospitals, and opportunties which makes for a better future for all. It is not understandable why so many people vote against all these things. GOP blocks bills and voters rewards the GOP for blocking bills.
GOP - THE TREND FOR NOVEMBER-2014 ===> "BLOW-OUT"
Recent polling but a number of reputable outlets all point to one conclusion -
there is simply no upside to the GOP's chances in the 2014 Congressional races.
To the contrary, they will suffer losses all across the board, including the governorships.
Their share of the Independent vote will fall substantially.
There is simply no compelling reason whatsoever for Independents to cast their lot with a party that is growing ever more increasingly irrelevant as a National Political Party - the GOP.
Suing the president is an alltime low for the GOP. This is a fight that the DEMS want. It's great for business and recruitment. The President at a small meeting the several days aday starts off the show.
GOP Gov. Tom Corbett losing to his Democratic opponent by 20% In a New Poll - It's a bad omen for the GOP, Nationally!
