The Parker J Cole Show -- Where Have the Godly Women Gone?

    in Radio

Proverbs 14: 1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

Where have all the Godly women gone? Where can we search for them again?

This is not to say that there aren't any at all. Of course not. Yet the prevaiing image of women is far from godly. And we as a culture have swallowed up what it means to be a woman. We're not talking about women being strong, powerful, innovators, and leaders. They've been that way since God created us. No, we are referring to the image of womanhood being defined as something apart from what the Lord has called us to be.

Join me as we talk about this issue with our guest Reverend Teirrah McNair. You can call in at 646-595-2083, press 1 to be live on air. Or you can download the WLUV radio mobile app. Any way you can, join us.

Ruth Moore Act HR 671: The bill would allow a statement by a survivor of military sexual trauma to be considered sufficient proof that an assault occurred. The House approved the bill by voice vote Monday night. Cathy Santos contacted the office of Congresswoman Pingree and shared the following comments as being the only victim of sexual assaults to fight the government and win while service with a 15-6 Pentagon Investigation.

I was concerned about the language here that appears to give sexual assault victims way too much power over their authority. These subordinates while serving, in my interpretation will be able to provide a statement - now, in my experience of 22 years, I know that their are a great deal of women who have been denied the opportunity to tell their stories and to get the remedy they deservied; however, I also believe that the national security is being compromised by the command's ability to lead without these restrictions placed on them by advocates in the civilians world.

    .

How is it possible to lead a command in combat with thiese type who have no real training for war because of the restricitions placed on their leaders.

Sexual assault victims and sexual harassment is a complicated matter and victims die, are murdered in combat. There are no protections for these victims when in combat or other remote environments and the power to use "rape" over their superiors is not to be taken lightly.

Civilians can not protect victims of rape on active duty, it will get worst for them, and no civilian can protect those who are given the power to provide a "statement" that becomes the only evidence required when false accusations are made, and reputations and careers are ruined - this is a poorly worded legislation and the military is not moving forward as a result. I will be following up.

Diane Ashley on Win's Women of Wisdom

    in Motivation

On Win's Women of Wisdom today, Best-Selling Author, Win Kelly Charles welcomes Diane Ashley. She holds a Master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. She also has first-hand experience with emotional trauma. Although a survivor of child abuse, her greatest challenge with grief and loss came when her oldest son drowned. Diane has spent much of her life helping those who hurt. She has assisted low income youth and adults with free counseling services, and gives emotional support to those who have suffered trauma. The purpose of Diane’s book, How to Help Someone Who is Grieving, is to help others who grieve, enlighten people to what grief really is, and teach helpers what some of the positives and some of the not so positives are, when interacting with someone who hurts. Shortly after its release, the book was adopted by the Sparks Nevada Sheriff’s Department as a training tool to help officers hurting after the loss of deputy’s within their department, and to also train in how to help someone dealing with grief. Currently, Diane lives with her husband Ron, and their two German Shepherds whom her husband fondly refers to as “their kids”.
