God wants us to become bigger on the inside

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison Texas continues in Jeremiah chapter 1. Jeremiah 1:7 says, "But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak." God was telling Jeremiah that his call was not going to be defined by his age or anything that would seek to disqualify him.  The Devil will try to use different things to tell you that you are not qualified.  You can't listen to the Devil, we have to listen to what God says about us. God will take you through processes to groom you and grow you up. Isaiah 50:4 speaks about this. God wants to give us a word in season.

Pastor Brad continues speaking about the calling of the prophet in Jeremiah 1, sharing experiences in our every-day lives as Christians. He shares from Luke 1:46-49 which says, "And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name.

God wants us to become bigger on the inside. This will happen for old and young. As you become larger on the inside, this will begin to manifest on the outside.

    Jesus - God With Us!

    in Youth

    Sept. 25th 2015

Over 2000 years ago Jesus came and lived among us. The real mystery of this is the fact that while Jesus was on earth was still fully God, one with the Father, the one through whome the worlds were created, and the one in whom all things are kept togeather. Yes when Jesus was on earth He was God.

But He was also fully man, He met temptations that we meet, He became weary just as we do, He became thirsty when walking in the heat of the day, just as we do. He required sleep to refresh His physical frame after a day of toil, just as we do. He required food for His body, just as we do. Jesus differed in no way from us in all these respects. He was not only God with us, but he was also my brother in the flesh.

20  And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
21  Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

    in Prayer

    Isaiah 9:6-7K (KJV)

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

    Luke 2:11-14 (KJV)

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

"God Gives Us Power to Get Wealth"

    in Christianity

Much has been said about prosperity as it relates to the teachings of Jesus and whether God's people can be rich and Godly at the same time.  There are those who believe that the Gospel is being undermined with all the talk and emphasis on prosperity and wealth. There are those who say God wants us to prosper while others say money is the root of all evil.  Some say it is the lack of money that is the root of all evil. But the real question for his followers is: What did Jesus say?.

  • Jesus - God With Us Part II

    in Youth

    October 2nd 2015

Jesus, as a historical figure, was incredibly complex. He defied sterotypes when He lived on earth, and He defies stereotypes now. Those who want to live in harmony with His life and teachings must be guiided by the Holy Spirit to develop as balanced a view of His ministry as possible.

If we highlight only one or two aspects of Christ's character to the exclusion of others, we pose the danger of making Jesus less than Multidimensional, and making our lives as disciples unbalanced as well.

Today our teacher Pastor Arthur C. Carlson is going to continue with our look into the relatively short time that our Lord Jesus spent on this earth as a man. Our prayer is that all of us who are listening today may find in this teaching what we need to live balanced lives as God's children.

The Soul of this nation has been brutalized by evil. Dear God, help us.

    in Current Events

I have marched with companies and I have stood alone. I flew into the jungle with a hundred men, but I walked alone, facing my own horror. I watched people face the horrors of losing men we had known, but the weight of surviving and remaining on the alter only increased. I came back to the world I had known, and it was the same, but I had changed forever. I joined groups that claimed to serve God, but they had never met the One who walked with me in the face of terror and dismemberment, and I found myself more alone, though there were more people around me than ever before. Then I began to see the reality of the value God places on a single man. It was when there was no other person in my life that could see and recognize who I was, that I began to understand that I did not know who I was, and God began to take me places defined by mysteries only He could help me to understand.
