Episcopacy 301 The Transformation of the Episcopacy Pt 3

    in Religion

We continue dealing with the development of the bishopric as we focus on the Metropolitan and Patriarch and how they came about.

As we deal with this things keep in mind the word - ANACHRONISM

Clericalism is a term that comes into play around 250 AD when the church started thinking if its priesthood as the Levitical Priesthood...which continue to develop until by the 9th Century a graded ministry had taken complete hold in the church.

Grades in ministry would have never work with the Alexandrian Episcopacy also called the Alexandrian Habitude, but it work well with the Antioch Model of the Episcopacy.

The 5 Patriarchs of the church

    The Archbishopric

    in Christianity

Gospel singer James "J.J." Hairston is the leader, chief songwriter, and director of the Youthful Praise choir, known for its exuberant, urban-tinged gospel and praise & worship songs. Formed in 2001 out of Turner's Faith Temple in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the choir was originally known as Teens of TFT, and released a debut album, Awesome God, that same year on Evidence Gospel. A second album, Thank You for the Change, which featured a guest spot by Coko, arrived in 2004, followed by Live! The Praise...The Worship, a year later in 2005. Television appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Bobby Jones Gospel, and performances with Joan Osborne, Shirley Caesar, and Destiny's Child increased the choir's visibility and fan base, as did its exuberant, energetic live shows and urban affinities. Time Magazine's "Transgender Tipping Point" Cover Girl: Laverne Cox

    in Current Events

Poz.com reported, "At the 2014 United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) in San Diego, Laverne Cox, star of Orange Is the New Black, gave a speech that was simultaneously entertaining, informative and very intimate.  “I stand before you today as a person who is somehow HIV negative. I feel weird even saying that. We live in a world that assumes because I’m black and transgender, I must be HIV positive. And that stigma is so crippling to me as I go out in the world and look for love and affection.'”

In this episode, Laverne is introduced by Transgender activist icon Tracie Jada O'Brien. Watch his exclusive video here.
