So fellow white folk who listen, I love y'all but be prepared for a heavy does of reality and a call-in, cos the White Liberal (TM) rhetoric is bullshit and we're gonna school y'all on why.

'CrossRoads to Freedom' defines Chris Dair's high-octane and sultry guitar playing and song-writing. Asked whether he played other instruments, "Yeah, I play bass, drums, percussion, harmonica, and some keyboard, and anything else I can get a good sound out of!" Dair, a French resident, brings the extremes of world musical guitar disciplines: Flamenco & the Blues to his musical compostion.   "Blues has this rawness, a simplicity and an undisguised passion in it’s expression of life’s experiences. I play many different styles of music, but my whole core of what I do comes from the blues, whether it be a Fusion Jazz or an Eastern improvisational piece, or a percussion piece it contains elements of the blues that grew up with me." Chris was captivated  by the genius of Jimi Hendrix and his musical university were the performers who filled London's venues, night-clubs and concer halls to inspire and thrill his performance. All these experiences have gifted is his guitar passion remarkable albums and hundreds of studio hours in film and television soundtrack recording.  In an interview with Glen when asked about Music. Chris replied: "It’s like breathing, if I stop, I die. I’ve been playing all my life and I could never give it up, that would be unthinkable. It’s more exciting now for me than it ever was. I wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t have my music and didn‘t play. For me, what else is there?" Vivian Dair says of her musical experience: 'Melody and lyrics work together to tell a story of what life has given me. I sing with a celtic influence which I couldn't explain until I found that I have an Irish great grandmother, which kind of clarifies that for me. My style includes Psychedelic Blues Rock, Folk Rock, Ballads and so on. I am not influenced by anyone musically, I like all sorts of music, from Aaron Neville to Rammstein !'

When we say, "join us for the discussion", we mean it! What we want most during this podcast is to hear from all of you and what's going on in your part of this thing we call the Freak Show.

Along the way we'll play plenty of great clips not just from the people making the news or front and center of the issues but those behind the scenes as well. We also like to mix it up each and every week by getting a groove on with a song and having a few laughs with some comedy.

Tonight we will be hitting on some of the sordid news from the Bill Cosby scandal, Glen Beck is at it again and the NYPD's new approach to the homeless,,,and that's just for starters. Stop by the Frat House Sports Garage this Sunday morning from 11am until noon and get tuned-up & tricked-out with the guys ahead of the afternoon NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway.

Last week Joey Logano became a first-time winner at Watkins Glen International (matter of fact, he swept the weekend, winning the Xfinity race as well). There are still 5 winless drivers hoping to secure a spot in the Chase for the SprintCup, since Logano is a repeat winner, and with 4 races left (less than 1 month) the pressure is ramping up to convert good starts into great finishes.

Meanwhile, Kyle Busch is in control of his own destiny for the post-season as long as he maintains his position at or above the 30th overall in driver points. It is now or never for "bubble" drivers Almirola, Kahne, Biffle & Larson though, and as the weeks wind down so does the hope that they can "win-and-get-in" by September 12 in Richmond.

The weekend was full as the Camping World Trucks ran at MIS while the Xfinity series took to the road course at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The guys will bring some "over-the-wall" stories and get you some advice with Sidekick's NASCAR Fantasy Picks. Have your morning coffee right here with the fellas! Bring some extra donuts and your calls to: 347-826-9964, Sunday morning, starting at 11 am (edt).

Lory Happeny: The Glen Campbell story

    in Family

Hosted by Marti Oakley & Debbie Dahmer

Lory grew up in the 1970's in a middle-class family in the beautiful state of Washington. Life was good, but not perfect. After school she would gather up some drinks and snacks and hide out in her room playing Glen Campbell's music. Her abusive step-father left her alone when Glen was playing. As an adult, she found herself in some unhappy relationships, but she overcame them and was blessed with two beautiful, smart daughters and two grandchildren.

After her father's death, Lory moved to another state to start anew. She began teaching medical classes for a private college, and did so for ten years before being let go with several of her co-workers. Her disabilities became too severe for her to work, but she donates her time, when physically able, at her local senior center. Lory has always been concerned about elders and the loneliness and abuse that so many of them suffer. She is ultimately concerned that no one is a voice for them.

When Lory heard that Glen Campbell, the man who had saved her childhood, protecting her from the abuses of her step father, had been institutionalized, she began looking into things and reading articles and realizing that pieces didn't seem to fit. Now she works hard to uncover all the disturbing facts about Glen. She also runs a growing Facebook page - called Glen Campbell is loved - where people remember and praise Glen, worry about Glen, and get strength and support from one another while providing care to their own loved ones with Alzheimer's.
