Terryl Ebony, Parent Life Coach and Author is the Founder and Director of Misunderstood Youth Development Center in based in N.Y. She is also the Author of Losing Love, having Faith and Finding Hope. Terryl's life's work centers around trying to ensure that parents and children are on the right track to functionality. She understands that in every family there will issues related to the growth and maturity of our young people but she also understands that those issues don't have to cripple us. They don't have to separate us and they don't have to put us in a position where we lose love, faith and support for one another as far as family goes. She understands that if the parent is educated better in the ways of schooling, positive interaction, values and upward mobility that they will pass that onto their children.
It's hard to dispute that when children display behavioral problems in school as well as in the streets that there are usually some issues going on at home that need to be addressed. Terryl Ebony helps these parents to be able to combat these issues with their children so that family services can be avoided. So that the blame game can be avoided. So that incarceration can be avoided. So that funeral services can be avoided for our youth. She has done this for years and is well respected and revered in the state of New York as well as nationally and she will be coming on the show this Wed. to bless us with some good conversation, some good parenting advice and to kick it with us. She may possibly drop a poem or 2 as well. Who knows?

Everything you ever needed to know how to be happy and to get along with others you learned on the playground! We learned risk taking, trust building, humor, and how to set boundaries. At our center we use the ideas of an amazing array of thinkers, scientists, storytellers and clowns to re-build and reawaken the child within us to learn how to become more child-like, not childish!
Debra Chaves Norwood is an attorney, writer, public speaker and World Laughter Tour certified laughter leader–expert level practitioner in therapeutic laughter. We are a Forever Foster home based sanctuary currently housing 30 senior dogs at the sanctuary with 33 more in forever foster homes. We are located in Mount Juliet Tennessee, just east of Nashville. We Celebrate Senior Dogs and provide them loving, lifetime retirement homes. We are an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Our mission is:
To provide a loving home, good food, high quality vet care, compassion and comfort to senior dogs for the remainder of their lives.
To build a ForeverFoster Home network to enable us to place more senior dogs in loving, home settings for the duration of their lives.
To provide education on the joys and challenges of caring for aging dogs.
To work with other dog rescue groups to promote the adoption of senior dogs.
While providing a lifetime home for senior dogs, OFSDS strives to raise awareness of the joys and challenges of living with aging dogs. While never forgetting where these dogs have come from, we want to emphasize the positive aspects of their life in retirement.
We do not concern ourselves with the quantity of time that they have left, rather the quality of the life that we can provide them for that time.
Relationships/marriage are generally tough to manage on a day-to-day basis. Now add social media and you've created a new issue for relationships and families. There are numerous more opportunities for private conversations with people outside the relationship - this can create or worsen trust issues and even lead to dangerous situations. tonight we discuss social media and relationships with Elisabeth Mandel - Licensed Marriage Family Therapist.
