Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson answers many questions about the reasons to give and how to give wisely in “Giving Is Not Just For The Very Rich: A How-to Guide for Giving and Philanthropy”. Gitelson says her book will help readers clarify their priorities, choose charitable organizations wisely and become aware of how to make a real impact. From baby boomers to young entrepreneurs, there are numerous practical ideas for giving back, which not only help others, but also allow donors to feel better about themselves. Gitelson gives examples of the wealthiest donors who act as pacesetters, but then goes on to consider other ways for everyone to give time, ideas and assets to help others. She offers examples of innovative givers, social entrepreneurs, celebrities, government officials, nonprofit professionals, volunteers and social media networkers who also have a positive impact on society.
Analyzing the major areas for giving, she reviews religious philanthropy, education K-12, higher education, science and health, arts, culture and humanities, sports, multipurpose umbrella organizations, awards and international aid. Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson has a bachelor’s from Barnard College and her master’s and doctorate from Columbia University. She has been president of International Consultants, Inc. and consults for international business, educational, cultural and other institutions.
She has had books and articles published on four continents and was awarded Columbia University’s prestigious medal for distinguished alumni service. She is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.

Well it's that time of the month again. No, not that time. It's time for the Spaced Out Radio Round Table discussion. Every month, host Dave Scott brings in a collection of friends to sit around and discuss topics that happened throughout the month. Sometimes the topics are serious. Other times they are so bizarre, it just makes you shake your head in laughter.
With the panel Dave brings in, the participants have no clue what the topics will be about. So their reactions are honest and pure about what they are hearing for the first time. We ask that you, the listener join in as well, in our Spaced Out Radio chat room or via phone at 1-607-203-5344 to engage in the topics as well.
It's a fun night to get everything off our chest after busting our butts to make a great month of programming for you,

We intend to boycott Christmas—but not Jesus. We think that they have taken advantage of us and our consumer dollars by materializing the respect and honor of Jesus, and making it a bonanza for a White business.Starting on so called "Thanks Giving Day" with a 24 hour Broadcast remembering the Holocaust of our Native American Family. So on Black Friday, we won’t be there!
“It’s a shame that a White man from the north pole, with eight reindeer, can knock Jesus to the curb on a day that is supposed to honor his birth! So on that time, we spend more money for alcohol, more money for material things, more money for drugs—everything gets a benefit from our fantastic foolishness in honor of Jesus.
Let's Redistribute The Pain! Withhold your dollars."

This morning on Small Business Saturday and 2 days after Thanksgiving Day it is our best time to explore meditation as an act of Self Care and Self Love. What are these?
Self-Care is the act of being good to and for yourself, whether healthily, emotionally or physically. It's as simple as brushing your teeth or taking a daf off to regroup or even just saying no to something or someone when you are tired.
Self-Love is getting in touch with your true and allowing your feelings to explore everything about you and your life, so you can truly enjoy the world around you.
This week we start Self-Care/Self Love with a Gratitude Meditation, based on the Daily Word.
Join me and explore a more fulfilling life through Self-Care and Self-Love.
Greg and Sandra explore the effect of Black Friday on the weekend meant for being thankful for what we already have.

I was at the mall today, just meandering, window shopping to pass some time. I was zoned out in my own world when all of a sudden I heard a kid just shouting and yelling at his mom. I kid you not, this kid said to his mother, “I hate you mom, you never get me anything that I want!” at this moment, his mom assured the kid that just last week, she bought him a brand new video game. The kid continues to throw a temper tantrum and act a fool. I continued to go about my business, until I encountered another mother and child scenario. This one irked me a little bit as well. In this scenario, a mother was talking to her daughter about how special she was and was just coddling the shit out of this girl. Now I’m all for positive reinforcements with your kids and all, but damn lady, your kid is not that special. I continue about my business and then I came to the thought of, “is this how every parent sees their kids”? As someone special? I get it it’s your kid and you’re proud of having them, but to treat them like they are the tits, is beyond me. So in today’s podcast, I will rant about whether or not today’s kids are being too coddled. Hope you enjoy today’s episode.
