The Execution Of Marius: What Are Zoos Really Teaching Children?

    in Environment

Due to numerous requests, we are airing this encore presenation in which animal communicator and healer, Laura Lassiter discusses abuse to animals in zoos and other venues that have been traditionally considered family oriented and educational. A few months ago, a two-year-old giraffe named Marius was publicly executed in front of children at the Copenhagen Zoo. He was then butchered and fed to the lions. The world reaction was one of horror and disgust. People cried out for justice. How do we justify raising an animal that is our responsibility and then killing it for reasons that are no longer acceptable? Where is the zoo's responsibility to demonstrate compassion and respect in the way they treated Marius in his final moments? Why would the Copenhagen Zoo refuse to rehouse Marius when they had valid, legitimate offers? Do we need to rethink about the useful purpose zoos have now in the world? What could the Copenhagen Zoo find "educational" in the macabre spectacle they provided to the public? Where does the money game fit into the big picture of zoos? In this special evening edition of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer will talk to world renowned animal communicator, Laura Lassiter? about the recent public execution of Marius the giraffe and what people can do to bring about change. Fresh Manna Our Daily Bread: Anything Worth Having is Worth Waiting For!

    in Religion

Today’s Topic:  Anything Worth Having is Worth Waiting For!

TODAY'S DISCUSSION: It isn’t always important on how people view you or me, but the reflection that we see of ourselves in God’s eyes.  We are children of God, we need to learn how royalty conducts themselves, because royalty has a different standard than commoners.  As Bishop T.D. Jakes comments in his new book Instinct, the view of the giraffe is far greater because of his long neck allows him to see things at a higher level than that of the turtle who is lower to the ground and has a different outlook.  Some of us haven’t received our inheritance yet but we have had a glimpse of what is to come!  Therefore know that anything worth having, is worth waiting for!

SCRIPTURE  TEXT: (1 Peter 2:9)  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: (2:10)  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
