    Kathryn Ravenwood has studied the Egyptian Mystery School tradition with Nicki Scully, Normandi Ellis, and Gloria Taylor Brown and is an initiated member of the Lineage of Thoth. Her Tarot readings are done with the guidance of the Great Council of Tarot for personal alchemical transformation. Learning to listen to Spirit guidance led her to experience creating Sacred Water Altars, as told in her book, How To Create Sacred Water:A Guide to Rituals and Practices, (Inner Traditions/Bear & Co.)  She hastravelled to Egypt twice and was a contributing writer to Invoking the Scribes of Ancient Egypt: The Initiatory Path of Spiritual Journaling (Inner Traditions/Bear & Co).


    Goddess Alive Radio is the weekly Blogtalk Radio show for the MotherHouse of the Goddess and is hosted by Kimberly F. Moore, Founder and Priestess of the MotherHouse of the Goddess.     Terry Smith became an advocate and writer as a result of severe Traumatic Brain Injury sustained in OCS summer training after his freshman year of college. In plan, he was to build a military career, be elected to senate, and then become President of the United States. In reality, he flat-lined twice during brain surgery and woke up from a coma with amnesia. To develop memory, he was to record daily life by writing. Three years later, he returned to college and graduated. He was awarded a writing fellowship with Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Over the following years, he worked in film and television for 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, and Orion Pictures. He has written three books – Jason’s Final Coming, Helvena, and Surviving Head Trauma. He is also an award winning playwright - Cherry Street Park, The Funny Thing About Death, and The Bar on 3rd St. His life advocacy is for raising awareness and prevention of TBI.     Wild Horse & Burro Radio: Judy Batker and Julie Wilson of Equitarian Initiative

    It is estimated that there are 100 million working equids in the developing world.  A working equid is defined as a horse, mule or donkey that is used primarily for family income, agriculture and/or transportation.


    Our guests tonight are veterinarians Judy Batker (Board member), and Julia Wilson(co-founder and Pres.) of , a non-profit organization with a mission to provide veterinary care for hard-working horses, donkeys and mules in poor, rural, developing nations.  They also provide education to caretakers about health and nutrition.  Lameness, hoof care, ticks, respiratory illnesses, sores and lack of nutrition are some of the issues for working equids around the world.

    Judy Batker, DVM, recently went to Haiti, where she goes once or twice a year, to provide veterinary care to donkeys and horses.  Judy also travels to Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota each summer to work with members of the Lakota tribe.  Judy owns a veterinary practice in Wisconsin.


    Julie Wilson, DVM, organized and led the 2012 Equitarian Project in Honduras in partnership with World Horse Welfare, and served 2 years with Veterinarians Without Borders, 6 years as a director of Heifer International and 3 years as a director of the American Association of Equine Practitioners.  She and her husband Tracy Turner, a veterinary surgeon, live in Stillwater, Minnesota.

     The program aims to change the staggering statistics that set the tone for the beginning of the film - 8,300 school dropouts per day and 1.5 million dropouts per year across the country.


    In addition to sharing their personal compelling stories, the students also created the music, lyrics and artwork used in the film - with a  closing song written and performed by them with the lyrics, "I refuse to be spiral bound,"

    Claude Werner, The Tactical Professor, served in Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces and Mechanized Infantry units in the US Army, both an enlisted man and an officer. His military assignments include being a SF A-Team Commander, Intelligence Officer, and Mechanized Infantry Company Commander. In his civilian career, he was Research Director of three commercial real estate firms and was the National Director of Real Estate Research for Deloitte & Touche LLP.     Hamp Dews was raised in Army family. His father was career officer who served in Infantry ww2, Korea & Vietnam, and as one of original members of 6th SFGA.  Hamp joined Army 1966 as airborne infantry enlistee. After Jump school, was accepted to attend SF selection (with age waiver) and graduated SF training Jan 1968 as SF Medic. He served with 7th, 6th, and 5th SFGA. In 5th Group, he performed duties as Medic and Platoon Leader with Detachment B-55, 5th Mobile Strike Force (Mike Force). Participated in Combat Operations throughout Vietnam. 


    After the war, Hamp was an instructor, Phase 3 Advanced Subject Committee, Training Group. From there, he attended Infantry OCS. Honor Grad; Jan 73.  After commissioning, Hamp served in several Infantry assignments (command & staff) until SF Branch was formed. Returned to Special Ops, serving as Director Training & Exercises, ISA in mid 80's. Retired 88. In 1989 he co-founded Mission Technologies, Inc. then served as co-owner and Senior VP from 1989 to 2011. Holder of three US Patents on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems. Retired (again) 2011.
