1 Corinthians 15 is the fact of the Resurrection
In 1 Corinthians 15 - the apostle outlines the Gospel of God’s grace in verses 1-8. It concerns a person the Christ of Scriptures and History. It concerns his death for all sins according to Scriptures. It concerns his resurrection and a declaration he lives.v. 9&10: Paul’s testimony of persecuting the church was a thorn in his side. A hurt the he kept ever before him as he evangelized the gospel. He went to Nero’s chopping block, believing he was “not fit to be called an apostle’’.
Paul would write in v, 10, ‘’I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the the grace of God which was within me’’.
v.11, is the Holy Spirit saying to Paul, ‘’just the facts of the matter’’ and he would respond whether it was I or they so we preached and so you believed’’. There is a test that is applied our faith comes by hearing in, v. 14: ‘’...if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain’’.
v. 20-22 is the order of the resurrection: v. 20; Christ is the first to rise from the dead he is the first fruit of them who slept. v.21&22 is the comparison and contrasting of the first Adam and the second Christ. I am lead to read the verses backward in v.47& 45: “The first man Adam is of the earth, earthly; the second is the Lord from heaven’’. ‘’And so it is written, the first man, Adam, was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a life-giving spirit’’. v.22: ‘’For in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive’’. v.21: “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead’’.
How the power of a premonition shaped the lives of two people one summer in Virginia.
TRUE STORY...Imagine being a single parent, mother of a year old and having a partner of many years decided he didn't want to make it "legal" so he took off and headed back East leaving me alone to cope with life.
Decided to move to California, a place of fresh starts. But after 2 months things were not going my way. Rumors of a Mt. Lion in the hills above my apartment. Neighbor's cat used our sandbox as its litter box. Baby sitter burned pots and hid them in places where she thought I wouldn't look. Kate, my daughter rarely slept, I was on the BRINK OF UTTER EXHAUSTION!
One night I had a dream that I had gone to Richmond, Virginia, never have been there. Kates father was coming to kidnap her and take her to Canada.
STAY TUNED...THE PLOT THICKENS
How a phone call shaped my destiny...etc.
From California to Richmond...etc.
Larry from Canada & walking tours...etc.
Move to New York...etc.
If it's meant to be, it will be...etc.

James W. Dowe, Jr. was born in the Bronx, New York on June 7, 1948. Dowe is the second eldest child of Walter James and Lillian Dowe. He has an elder sister, two younger sisters and a younger brother.
The family lived in the Edenwald Houses in the northeast section of the Bronx. Dowe and his siblings formed a gospel group called the Dowe Singers. Later, they were joined by another gospel group, the Douglas Singers and became known as the Dowe-Douglas Singers.
During his years at Evander High School in the Bronx, New York, singing baritone lead vocals, Dowe and some of his school mates formed an R&B singing group, performing at local gigs. The personnel of the group continually changed; but, Dowe felt compelled to record his music and build a career in show business.
Dowe abandoned his music to pursue a career more befitting a husband and father as a New York City Firefighter. He and his late wife, Susan, had four children, a son, James W. Dowe, III, and three daughters, Adrienne, Joy and Monica, respectively. Having served the NYC Firefighters with distinction, he decided to retire and relocate with his family to North Carolina where he and his wife were called to ministry.
In 2004, Dowe lost his beloved wife to breast cancer. He was by her side as her caregiver and as he refers to it, “servant,” throughout her five years of struggle with this devastating disease.
