    Lez Talk Books Radio Presents: Sheree L. Greer

    Join Stephanie and Lauren as they chat with Sheree L. Greer about her new novel, Let the Lover Be, and her collection of short stories, Once and Future Lovers.  


    Sheree has been published in Hair Trigger, The Windy City Times, Reservoir, Fictionary, and the Windy City Queer Anthology: Dispatches from the Third Coast. She has performed her work across selected venues in Milwaukee, New York, Miami, Chicago, and Tampa, where she hosts Oral Fixation, the only LGBTQ Open Mic series in Tampa Bay. Ms. Greer received a Union League of Chicago Civic Arts Foundation Award, earned her MFA at Columbia College Chicago, and currently teaches writing and literature at St. Petersburg College. As an Astraea Lesbian Writers Fund grantee and VONA alum, she published a short story collection, Once and Future Lovers. A novel excerpt "Prom Story in Three Parts," received a special mention in Publishers Weekly and appears in Best Lesbian Romance 2012.

    Our guest this morning is Jim Babylon. Jim retired from the Denver South Metro Fire Rescue in 2011 after 22 years of service.


    Currently Jim divides his time between his company Covenant All Risk Consulting and South Metro Fire where he currently works part time as the special operations coordinator.


    Jim has been a paramedic since 1996 and in EMS since 1979. He spent nine years working as a paramedic on the streets of Denver.


    During the 1990s he served as an instructor for the Domestic Preparedness program for NBC Terorrism. Jim is certified as a Nuclear, Biological & Chemical Terrorism Subject Matter Expert by the Department of the Army.


    Some of his work includes the authoring of the Denver-Aurora regional MMRS decontamination standard operating guide, sub-contractor on the Puget Sound regional mass casualty plan and co-author of the state of Maryland EMS triage system training program.


    Jim speaks frequently on the subjects of: hazmat, EMS, responding to ultra-violent events and incident management.


    He is also a member of the Emergency Volunteer Project.


    The EVP provides responders to Israel during national emergencies to allow their responders to fulfill their military obligations.

She also edits websites and books. Prior to her career in writing, Ms. Gwynn worked first as a referral coordinator, billing manager, then office manager for a dermatology practice.

    Gwynn has published seven books; two in the genre of erotic criminal suspense, Exposed: The Education of Sarah Brown (Kriminal Erotic Series Book I), and Book II, The Evolution of Elsa Kreiss; two in the horror genre, Harvest (Book I in the Harvest Trilogy) and Book II, Celluloss; and one children's fiction, The Cat Who Wanted to be a Reindeer. She resides in the small town of Schertz, Texas on the northeast side of San Antonio with her four felines who so graciously allow her to reside in their home.
