New Orleans Flavor: What Makes The French Quarter So Special

    in Food

New Orleans Flavor: How Creole/Cajun Cooking inspired a nation. What is it about New Orleans food that makes people fall in love?  Some of the best food in the world comes from New Orleans and the French Quarter.  We'll spend an hour today exploring The French Quarter's food, people, history, culture, jazz, pizazz and love.

My heart is in Nola. I'm a die-hard-Saints fan, rain or shine, I talk about that city like I've lived there my whole life. Whenever I have ever walked down the streets in the French Quarter it felt like I was home. Even as a tourist I never got lost. It just seemed like I knew where everything was and I automatically knew where not to go. I never could explain that and that's the only city that has ever done that to me. If I had an opportunity to work and live in the French Quarter, I believe I would do everything in my power to make it happen. It's the food, the people, the architecture, the soul of the French Quarter that draws me in.  People have said they were eaten alive there.  New Orleans never chewed me up and spit me out. I felt embraced and comforted. I felt like I belonged there. It felt like home.

Why is Happiness so danged illusive and temporary?

    in Spirituality

Happiness is the newest and oldest longing of mankind. It is an insatiable DESIRE that can't find peace wihin life. This is the CLUE to follow.

Recent fascinations border on the ridiculous making happiness either something social scientist have "figured out" and can even "prove" or something sexy the life coaching guru's have made into a guidebook of attitudes, platitudes, and/or disciplines that will generate your daily bliss. AND, if these don't work for you...well, the implied message is that it is, "your fault."

Granted some of this guidance will improve attitudes and prompt better thinking in making choices and dealing with relationships. But that misses getting down to the root of all this pursuit of happiness business.

The answer generates from either external or internal sources. As long as we favor our external, and that does include the seeminly internal spaces of our ego-body mind, we will hover above the ground and not connect with the happiness that is so elusive.

Trade elusive for subtle and you begin to move your attention towards that which will lead you to what you need to connect with regarding our Innnate nature being replaced by an unstable nature that CANNOT keep happiness in its grip or heart.

How to get out of your own way so that you can sell your high end programs

    in Business

How to get out of your own way so that you can sell your high end programs-

I was inspired to write this since I’m getting so many emails and new clients that are having issues around confidence in their business.  If you lack confidence then you’ll not charge what you’re worth, you’ll sabotage your success, and play small.  There are many myths I want to dispel about putting yourself out there to attract more clients.

MYTH  You need years of experience. Who says? This simply isn’t true, if you can help people get results this is proof.  Bottom line people want to know you can help them.
MYTH  You have to figure out your high end program before you offer them. Absolutely not. My first program I had an outline of what I wanted to teach and the benefits for people. I was on fire with what I was teaching others and realized you have to be able to sell an IDEA first. An idea can be put together quickly to attract your ideal paying clients. Stop over thinking it and start offering what you know.

Make sure you have the following:

What it helps people with (people buy RESULTS/benefits)
How you will deliver it (online, offline, webinar, teleclass, membership portal)
Have a sales guide where you can walk someone through to find out what they are looking for

MYTH I have to charge what the market dictates. Nope. This isn’t true. Whatever you feel you’re worth you can charge.  It has to be aligned with with who you are. I’ve invested so much in my business that I’ve set my prices according to what I feel I’m worth and the potential results that my clients can create. I’m simply not going to discount my prices because I know and own my value.

    in Self Help

786 . . . This program will discuss the teachings of the great West African Sufi Master, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba.  The lessons include topic such as the esoteric aspects of Islam, Faith, Acts of Worship, Spiritual Perfection and Knowledge of Self.  Discussion today will be: Epiphanies and Divine Theophanies (Book Reference: Ancient Elements of Spirituality within the Heart of Tasawwuf). We look forward to your questions and respectful comments.  Light and Love!!! 888.

Homecoming 2: The Prodigals, Wayward and Lost Come Home

    in Christianity

Jesus explains the kingdom of God as a man who had a young son who asked for his inheritance NOW, took a journey away from the father who loved him and wasted his inheritance on prodigal-riotous, sensual living fulfilling every lust. But passion springs forth new passion until at last, he was consumed and found himself alone, confused, hungry LOST!

Perhaps that's YOU- party central on the surface, but dark, broken and brooding within.  Perhaps you wonder IS THERE ANYTHING MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS? Is there ANYTHING of real value? Is love real and is true love even possible for someone like me.  Join us this Sunday and find answers, find love, find hope, healing and purpose. Find HOME!
