On this GetAtMeInDaMixxx we brought you a sexy groove mix of the grooves and slow cut we like right now. We start off with an Atlanta artist Angelo Remon (a backup singer for Keith Sweat) and his cut "CantGoThere" (man this is a great ballad #RealDeal). Next we mix in Trey Song new sexy cut "Foreign" (a song that's really Hookah lounge friendly). Our surprise the mix is a cut we found on an artist named MikeJay "BirthdaySuit" (great production, great song, #realdeal). Next we hear Ashanti's new cut (great comeback record) "EarlyInTheMorning" (this thing here is a sexy groove). Mila J "Smoke, Drink & BreakUp" is the next cut (great song, sounds like a soundtrack). The we have TheWeekEnd's remix of "OrNah" (great online sensation). We wind it up with our breaktrack this week "Rocko's "GoodGood" (great hook and groove). That's this edition of GetAtMeInDaMixx. Im DjReggieRedd #GetAtMe
We start out with Beyonce "7/11" ( this ones hot ) , then we have Lady Keyz "Go down Low" ( Lady Keyz music is really versatile). Too many artist today just put out music, it almost seems like they forget it’s a business where they have to supply a demand. Putting out your music probably won’t get you the solution you wish till you start treating it like a business (there has to be a need and a paying customer).
The key to being a success as an entrepreneur is locating customers and getting them their solution. The solution in music is that your music creates great moments. So it’s real important that you locate customers that are shopping for those moments.
On today’s show we discuss locating fans, getting fans that buy and keeping them. (You gotta know the fans before you can grow the fans)
Also we have a GetAtMe 1on1MiniMix YungDre (DanceForMe)/InDeep (LastNightADjSavedMyLife)

Sometimes when I'm dealing with folks involved in this business I get some of the craziest perception of what some feel the music business is about ( I mean really crazy). At the end of the day the music business is about sales and the best way to get around the politics is by doing your job and playing your role.
People sometimes think that this business is about the money but this business is really about ego, politics and power. Sometimes someone who has money becomes a target because the industry is full of middlemen who charging to cross the bridge is just business to them. Call in tonight and join the discussion
Everyone has their idea (or experience) as to the right or wrong of this music business. I'm not really an opinion guy, I deal with the mechanics of something. So when people come to me about you need to know so and so to succeed in any venture, well to me that's just some middle man trying to get bill money from you.(#MyOpinion). So that's why I like dealing with the mechanics of a situation. Tonight we're gonna deal with the 4 corner you need to function well in this music thing and how you navigate those 4 corners will detiermine what your success rate will be in this business. Tonight on GetAtMe ItsTheBusiness we ask the question "If your music is so hot, why won't your fans spend $1.29." Why are we asking artist (many times who don't have the money) to spend out to become stars. Why are we training artist to be bad business people. Here's a flash, if your busines model consist of you spending more than your projected revenue then more than likely the spending is the business model. In todays digital age the info arrives to investors at a quicker pace and you should be able to gauge your projects success quick enough to discern whether its a hit or dog in 8 weeks. But come on folks, a single is only $1.29. Sales are the measuring rod not just lets get some money. Sales creates legacies, licks are gone with the trend. Call in at (347) 826-774
Hip Hop is 40 years old (thats right its middle aged). At times now it seems as thought hip hop is having a mid life crisis. It wants to have fun and be creative but it also has to pay the bills. Its has matured into a new fan base of different culture and those cultures are shaping hip hop to fit it world and views. Tonight we discuss the growth and shaping of hip hop and how hip hop (and hip hop purist) might have to reshape some of their view about the artform and the business. Call in at (347) 826-774
