RFB ~ 50,000 Syrian Refugees Will Revitalize Detroit

    in Politics Conservative

Welcome  to the Red Fox Blogger with your Host, Kel Fritzi. Thank you to Jim and George for joining me!!

"Resettling Syrians in Detroit would require commitment and cooperation across different branches and levels of our government, but it is eminently feasible. President Obama and Congress would have to agree to lift this year’s refugee ceiling by 50,000." (GAG.. And apparently SOMALIS are welcome, too!)

Also, remembering Ken McClenton's daughter, Charnice....

RFB Radio ~ Canada Won't Accept moslem Refugees

    in Politics Conservative

I love it! Leftists are screaming bloody murder over Canada’s conservative government’s possible choice of Christian and other minority Syrians OVER Muslim refugees for resettlement.

    A special thanks to Matt4America.

Who Voted to Bring 33 Million Immigrants North?  Did you vote to approve that immigration policy? Did anyone? In fact, the federal government allowed it to happen without any voter input. Immigration

    in Politics Conservative

On a special Memorial Day show for you, I'll be talking about a special topic- immigration. Why immigration?  Well, in looking at certain stories over the past few days, to me, and I know to many of you it's a key issue.  But what I wanted to focus on in particular is who's moving to the back of the line on immigration versus who should be moving to the back of the line and of course who they claim will be moving to the back of the line.  Who's getting left out in the cold and who's getting the short end of the stick?  It's certainly not who it should be.  I also wanted to talk a bit about the fast track trade bill or TPA bill that just passed the Senate this past week in a weird moment in which Obama was for it, but so were most Republicans, while most Democrats were against it.  What's that have to do with immigration?  Well, if you don't know, you'll have to listen to find out.  It's at 4:30 today Eastern time, and you can listen on the archives after that.

How Foxy Brown took on the City of Baltimore; Myrnamar boat casualties

    in Pop Culture

Jane and Jon discuss world upheaval in places like Thailand and Myrnamar where 6,000 refugees are trapped on a boat, being exploited by human traffickers who are trying to make money off of refugees by impounding funds from family members.

They also discuss how the urban streets have changed or stayed the same since 1968 in Baltimore with commentary by Tavis Smiley from Time Magazine.

We had a caller, Citizen X, who tried to inflect that it's each man for himself, not the government.  He denounces labels but is short on explanations.

Later on, Jane & Jon discuss  Pam Grier, Rosie Grier and Blacploitation films such as Foxy Brown, Coffey and more from that era.

Irate, Tireless Minority - Hedging Our Bets

    in Politics Conservative

Examing one aspect of how we got here. In today's culture, people are coming to understand that businesses and individuals often "hedge their bets" about how the country will develope by donating to candidates of both of the major parties. What overall affect does such a strategy have on America?

Doing my best to help the Lord set the brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men and to restore America, God willing, to the beacon of freedom she was meant to be.

    Doing What's Right:

A short look at the philosophical ramifications of a culture in which businesses/indiciduals who recognize the power of politics hedge their bets for the future by donating to/supporting any and all candidates/political parties they think may have or may come into power.

The ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW - Dr. Christina Jeffrey

    in Politics Conservative

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., has received a response to his letter demanding answers from Secretary of State John Kerry about the planned resettlement of dozens of foreign refugees in his state.

But the answers failed to shed much light on the secrecy that surrounds the refugee program. The process by which cities and towns across the U.S. are selected to receive displaced persons from United Nations refugee camps remains largely a mystery.

As Gowdy discovered, the city of Spartanburg, South Carolina, was approved for an infusion of 60 refugees, mostly from Syria and Africa, by its own state government headed by Republican Gov. Nikki Haley.

And if the program plays out in Spartanburg as it has in communities in Minnesota, California, Texas, Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and other states, then the 60 refugees will blossom into hundreds and eventually thousands every year. Minnesota, for example, is now receiving more than 2,000 Muslim refugees annually, mostly from Somalia. Texas receives more than 7,000 per year, and California more than 6,000, directly from the Third World. -- WND.com

Tonight we'll talk with Dr. Christina Jeffrey who was quoted in the WND article by Leo Hohman about this growing and alarming problem.

WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

A staunch opponent of slavery and the slave trade, he united with other emancipated African Americans in the Northern states in their abolitionist campaigns, using his Quaker connections with sympathetic co-religionists to support his efforts. Cuffe, first a whaling ship captain, eventually became a ship owner, operating a number of vessels which sailed between ports along the coast of Massachusetts.  By 1811 he was reputedly the wealthiest African American in the United States and the largest employer of free African Americans.  Despite his commercial success, Cuffe became increasingly disillusioned with the racial status of African Americans, and believed the creation of an independent African nation led by returnees from the United States offered the best prospects for free blacks and for African modernization.    Inspired by British abolitionists who had established Sierra Leone, Cuffe began to recruit blacks to emigrate to the fledgling colony.  On January 2, 1811, he launched his first expedition to Sierra Leone, sailing with an all-African American crew to Freetown.  While there Cuffe helped to establish “The Friendly Society of Sierra Leone,” a trading organization run by African Americans who had returned to West Africa. Cuffe and others hoped the success of this enterprise would generate a mass emigration of free blacks to West Africa who, once there, would evangelize the Africans, establish business enterprises, and work to abolish slavery. In 1815 Cuffe led 38 African American colonists to Sierra Leone.  The colonists established new homes and integrated into the small community of former English residents and refugees
