Bonnie Kaye's Straight Wives Talk Show featuring family therapist Kathy Holguin

    in Women

Bonnie Kaye's co-hostess tonight is Kathryn L. Holguin, a family therapist located in Orange County, California. Kathy is a member of our Straight Wives Club network working with women and families who are experiencing marriage or divorce to a gay/bisexual husband.

Kathy states, "As a therapist, it is my job to equip you with tools you can use to achieve a healthier, more satisfying life.  My passion is to empower you to live a transformed life.  I have a psychodynamic approach to therapy.  Human beings learn how to love, trust, feel, parent and be in relationships from our childhood.  The way we learned to cope with life during childhood can be restructured, giving a sense of freedom from past hurts.

Bonnie Kaye, international specialist on women who unknowingly marry gay men affecting 4 million women in this country and millions more around the world, hosts this show. Each week she has guests who are experts in this area to help those women who need to move ahead and heal. Kaye is a counselor, author, and founder of the Straight Wives Club.

Bonnie Kaye's Straight Wives Talk Show with Author Jolene Cazzola

    in Women

Tonight Bonnie Kaye welcomes author Jolene Cazzola who wrote the novel Love's Illusions about her love relationship with a gay man in the 1970's. Jolene, like many of our women, was totally unaware of how a gay man could be involved in a love relationship with a straight woman. Back in that era, there was so little information available to us. Jolene was able to reach back to that raw space in her life to articulate the fear and struggle that all of us face. Jolene's website can be found at http://www.jolenecazzola.com.

Bonnie Kaye's Straight Wives Talk Show with guest author Debra Sutton

    in Women

Bonnie Kaye's guest tonight is Debra Sutton. Debra is an active member of Bonnie's Straight Wives Club and has authored a newly released book on the subject titled "Signs of a Gay Husband: Identifying Closeted Gay Husband Behaviors."  Debra was unknowingly married to a gay man for 22 years. She writes short stories about her life experiences with her closeted gay ex-husband. The purpose of her book is to help women in the same situation recognize gay husband behaviors. Women in these marriages have been looking for answers and trying to fix something that cannot be fixed. Sutton states, "They have been made to feel like everything that is wrong is their fault." She wants them to know they are not alone and there is help and support.

Tonight Bonnie and Debra will talk about the importance of self-love on this special holiday of Valentine's Day. Many straight wives feel an extra sense of lonliness living with men who can never love them the way they need to be loved. In future relationships, they must learn to love themselves first before finding another destructive relationship.

Could it really be, that the "Stud/Butch" image is disappering from the Lesbian Community altogether? And if so, could this be, the main reason for the Stud/Butches on Stud love these days?
