    Big wins for Republicans

    in Politics

Good morning, Today on The Meter we will cover this past week's election results. In Virginia, Republicans swept to victories across the Commonwealth. The GOP holds the highly contested State Senate as not one sitting Republican lost. In Kentucky, Conservative Matt Bevin was elected governor, on a campaign pledge to kill Obamacare. Serving along side Governor-elect Bevin is Janean Hampton, the state's first ever black female Lieutenant governor. Hampton, a long to e conservative and TEA Party activist routed her democratic opponent by 10%. Have you heard this in the media? Last night, Republican front runner Donald Trump hosted Saturday Night Live amidst protests from Hispanic Groups. How did Trump do? Hillary Clinton has announced that she will support easier access to marijuana just as Ohioians reject the drug's legalization by a 2-1 margin. In other news, it now looks like the Russian airliner was brought down by a bomb. The U.S. says its 99.9% certain. Please join us as 9 AM at www.blogtalkradio.com/themeter. The call in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.

Gay or Straight....Are people BORN with a certain sexuality,or is it developed?

    in Education

In all of my many discussions about this topic, No one has ever provided me with substantial evidence to prove/disprove the answer to this topic. With so many theories and philosophies about homosexuality, I'd like to hear your views about whether or not someone can be born gay. As a matter of fact, can someone be born straight? Is sexuality something that you're born with? This is dialogue is not to condemn people on their choices, but instead, it's to gather thoughts of your understanding. Is sexuality based on environment and upbringing, or is it something biological? At what point/age does sexual desires begin to arise?

I look forward to a great, and informative dialogue. Tune in from 9pm-11pm est, to "Darryel's Daily Dialogue...where positive words, manifest positive actions.

    Republicans, Race and Education

    in Politics Conservative

I am so sick of hearing Republicans/conservatives ask me how do we get "into" the Black community, like there some combination lock on the gates of the hood. Time and time they come at me with "The Black Church" and I answer back it is the "Black School" they need to look at. Holding Black children hostage in failing failing school is tatmount to slavery! Forcing them to work on the plantation that benefit only book publishers and education unions. I hope that someone on the Republican debate mentions education tomorrow night.

Scott talks about how little was made of his sexuality this season, and why that's a good thing. "I am extremely grateful that Major League Baseball has always judged me on my work and nothing else and that's the way it should be." Scott also realizes the power of coming out based on the amount of email he received from other LGBT people thanking him for his honesty.

The Republicans have had several debates I've heard, two that I'm aware of, and this past week, the Democrats had their first televised showdown (was it?) on CNN, hosted by Anderson Cooper 360, Dana Bash & Don Lemon.  Myself personally, I think there is too much B.S. in the political arena - PROMISES PROMISES Greg Kinear Band, if I'm spelling it right - why don't they use that for a theme?  Michael Gay suggested that topic - then

Aaron Anderson suggested, are they forcing GAY down our throats with all the gay and lesbian programming on TV.  I think that was a great suggestions, but let's see what you guys think.  347-205-9366.  Modern Family, Empire, women kissing each other, men kissing each other - Will & Grace, the Ellen show, and more - 347-205-9366.
