This week on Darryel's Daily Dialogue, we will be discussing the struggles of the Gay civil rights, compared to the struggles of African Americans(Blacks) civil rights. It has been widely debated on whether or not the struggles are the same:
Are they the same because both groups are/were discriminated against?
Are they the same because both are/were fighting for equality?
Are they the same because both are/were protesting for thier rights, due to being oppressed?
Let's talk about it this week on Darryel's Daily Dialogue....."where positive words manifest positive action."

A "friend" once told me that women who get divorced and then re-enter the world of dating are "clueless"
I must admit, fitting that mold, that things are quite different and confusing.
What are the new rules?
What do I need to know to have success in this arena?
I will be asking men and women their opinions on the subject, to help me get a "clue"
Tonight will be the first step. A rough draft so to speak. A pilot...And with thoughts from a gay male!
Should be interesting...

In the 1st hour, Washington D.C. passed a bill to ban Sexual Orientation Change Effort (SOCE) therapy for minors. The bill prohibits minors from seeing a licensed mental health provider in the District to help them reduce unwanted same-sex attractions. So much for "choice!" Christopher Doyle, President of Voice of the Voiceless discusses this important topic.
In the 2nd and 3rd hours... well, you'll just have to tune in to hear. It's always current events and hot topics, with some crazy news stories thrown in for good measure! You'll be entertained and informed.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!
Karl Marx famously said that religion was the opiate of the masses. With organized religion in steady decline, what will take its place? I believe that sports have already taken its place. From children being chauffeured around the countryside to play in sporting events of all types to adults who are scandalized about the inflation level of the balls athletes play with, we are a culture obsessed with sports. It's no better in Europe, where they seem to never have met a soccer match that didn't call for a riot or trampling other spectators. What's this about? Is it healthy, or is it a sign of a bigger problem? This and more, today on Interspiritual Insights.

The documentary “For Faith, For Love, Forever” explores the debate on same-sex marriage in the African-AmeTrican community and its inclusion of the black church. Despite media portrayals suggesting complete disapproval, ordained African-American pastors and ministers are given the opportunity at a Town Hall Meeting in Oakland, CA to speak openly about their reasons for being for the inclusions of same sex couples, their rights to marry and being active members of their individual congregations. The film offers its viewers a powerful exploration of the effect that California's Proposition 8 had pre-and post-Election 2008 on the gay community. The discussion of black gays having a right to marry as a matter of inclusion in the church makes for a most diverse and unique topic. The film’s director Nefertiti Strong, Rev.
