How To Protect Yourself From Satan's Attacks: A Real Invisible Enemy

    in The Bible

Throughout the day we all have many thoughts go across our minds. What's so interesting about our minds, is the fact that we don't know where thoughts come from, or how we think. We just think. However, when we think, our thoughts can be coming from another invisible source. If we don't detect those thoughts coming from another invisible source, they can hurt us and other people. That invisible source is the thought realm of the devil and evil messages he tries to plant in our minds. He can infuse into our thought patterns that can push us in the wrong direction, if we are not careful/ Remember when Jesus spoke to Peter and said I rebuke you Satan? He wasn't speaking to Peter. He was speaking to the devil. For a moment, the thoughts of the devil entered Peters mind (it's a mystery) just like they can enter our minds. That's why we have to ask God to protect our minds, and also ask Him to help us take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. We want the Mind of Christ. We will talk about the schemes of the devil and how to protect our minds from the devil on today's show.

    in Prayer

Wasn't it smart of God to create seeds? That way he had a self-perpetuating creation. "And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind." (Genesis 1:12) God doesn't have to keep speaking things into being from scratch. When an apple tree dies, new ones have already sprung up to replace it. The oak tree drops its acorns and new oaks grow up.

Notice that each created thing has its own kind of seed. You don't have to worry when you plant tomatoes that you will get apples. Plant a maple seed and you will always get a maple sapling and then a full grown maple tree. This principle carries over to all kinds of seeds.

Take for example, an act of kindness is a seed. A smile is a seed. Forgiving a debt is a seed. Sharing someone else's load is a seed. Plant one of those seeds and it will produce after its own kind. For instance, we can let someone into our traffic lane and it is much more likely that person will let the next person in. When we smile we start a chain reaction of smiles. A garden of courtesy produces a bouquet of civility.

After God finished his creation he "saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good." (Genesis 1:31) We can be smart like he was and plant those self perpetuating seeds. Then we can look over our life and see how he was right; it IS very good. Join us for live prayer at 6:00 AM, Mon.-Fri. Dial 714.459.3963.

11/24/15 - One Eyed Homeless woman gives truthful interview about life

    in Politics Conservative

You see them all the time.  Homeless people, wandering downtown, hanging around convenience stores or busy intersections panhandling for anything...money, food, a ride.  I met Linda, a 52 year old, one-eyed homeless woman in Waco, TX.  At first, she just asked me if I could help by giving her a little money..."anything you can spare would be appreciated."  So, I reached in my pocket and pulled out some cash and gave her a couple of dollars.  But before I did, I wanted to know a little about her life..."How did you come to be here?" I asked.  She told me of her daily challenges and fearful nights living in the streets of Waco.  She explained what happened to her and how she lost her eye.  "I was sleeping, and someone swung at me with an ax," she said, as she pulled back her cap and hair, to reveal the damage to her skull.  She's bouncing from place to place...one homeless shelter to another.  One convenience store to another.  I went in to pay for gas and as I was walking back to pump gas, she asked me if I could give her a ride.  I agreed on one condition, that she would allow me to record her story during our drive.  Tonight, I'll air she short interview.  Call ins welcome.

"Holiday Showdown with Your Fox 'News' Watching Relatives: Counter-Talking Points to Help You Smack Down the Misinformed, Ugly, Fox Rhetoric at The Family Gathering!"
Once again right wing media misinformation is stoking the flames of fear!  The anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, and anti-refugee rhetoric has been ramping up along with the usual unabashed racism we have been seeing more openly espoused on many media outlets on the right and on hate-radio toward Non-Anglo and Non-Christian Americans.  Now we have seen peaceful anti-racism activists be abused and assaulted at Trumr rallies, including a young man, and #BlackLivesMatter activist, this week.  We have also seen a slew of governors, a vote in US Congress, and almost all of the GOP presidential candidates boldly express their rejection of the idea of opening our door to desperate refugees from Syria who have fled the brutality of ISIS.  This can mean only one thing for your family gathering this Thanksgiving!  That's right, your Fox 'news' watching relatives will be fully loaded with bogus talking points and hateful rhetoric, and they will have their GPS programed to zero in on your logical, fact based, critically thinking brain waves and the beating of your 'love thy brother' liberal heart!  Prepare for the showdown and arm yourself with the facts to smack down the predictable Thanksgiving dinner talking points,  with Eyes Wide Open: DemBlogTalk!   Our guest will be Sarah Slamen.  Sarah is a 3rd generation Syrian-American and a real activist for the Texas and the National Democratic Parties.  She has been in Louisiana campaigning for John Bell Edwards who won his gubernatorial bid to beat scandal ridden US Senator Vitter and become the new Governor-elect of the state!
We will also have our weekly #FeelThe Burn Report, LIVE from the Sanders campaign!
