Issue: The United States does not need the Keystone XL pipeline. Who's to Blame?
This pipeline is the bain of our existence. It infected our politics during this month's elections and some people fell for it. There are a number of reasons the pipeline should not be approved. Frankly, I don't know why we are still discussing it. Join me as I do a little pipeline bashing.
Do you think this pipeline should be approved? Why?
Do you hate the pipeline as much as me? I get it if you do.
Well, the hits keep coming! The US Senate shotdown funding for th XL Pipeline yesterday. I never thought I would say this but this is a great move by Republicans in the Senate. We will talk about it today on the show, tell your friends. Immigration is turning into a nightmare for the president and I think he knows it. If he move forward the backlash from Republicans, conservatives and urban America will be considerable.Obamacare, is going into full force next year, all Republicans have to do is remind Americans of who is responsible for their misery. A full fledged PR campaign reminding Americans of the people that designed, supported, voted for, and signed the Affordable Care Act. TV ads, Radio Ads, Billboards, Mailers, An ad blitz to remind people that their insurance cost went up due to the ACA and those responsible.

Who are the Dallas 6?
At SCI Dallas (PA), after a series of abuses at the hands of corrections officials, some prisoners housed in the solitary confinement unit decided they had enough and decided to stage a protest in response to the inhumane conditions and mistreatment of prisoners. They decided it was time to do something about the inhumane conditions, immediately, before another prisoner dies or is brutally harmed. Each prisoner involved in the protest is now collectively referred to as the Dallas 6. They are Andre Jacobs, Anthony Locke, Anthony Kelly, Carrington Keys, Duane Peters and Derrick Stanley.
On April 28th 2010, prisoner Isaac Sanchez was subjected to a planned attack by the Restrictive Housing Unit (RHU) staff, forcibly removed from his cell and brutally beaten by officers in riot gear. Sanchez was subject to this attack as a result of speaking out against the abuse at Dallas prison on behalf of his fellow comrades. After being told they were next, Dallas 6 barricaded themselves in for protection and covered their cell windows. They asked for outside intervention but instead were beaten, electroshocked and peppersprayed. They filed complaints against the DOC and 3 months later, in retaliation, they were charged with riot.
As revealed in the Human Rights report, there has long been a policy within the prison walls of Dallas and the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC) to operate a corrupt administration under an iron wall of silence. The DOC, State Police, DA's office work in conjunction to railroad these men. On January 21, 2014 these men are facing trial for these bogus charges. There is a campaign underway to dismiss the charges and I am reaching out for awareness and support.
For Jack Connolly, the song is everything. Free of pretensions or pomp, his Country folk-tinged tunes are all about vivid storytelling, and this talent shines on his latest album, Great Big Soul.
The Toronto-based songwriter has been involved in the Canadian music scene for more than a decade. Having grown up playing coffee houses on Vancouver Island, he released his debut Indie album Open Stage in 2001. His sophomore full-length The Empty Cafe followed in 2004, and its rootsy full-band sound earned Jack the title of Songwriter of the Year at the Vancouver Island Music Awards.
Seeking new experiences, he relocated to Toronto in 2009 and quickly took part in the vibrant local music scene. In addition to regularly performing his own songs around town and on the road, he formed the country 'covers' group the Gas Station Cowboys covering Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Garth Brooks and others.
He drew on these influences - in addition to old favourites like Bruce Springsteen & Tom Cochrane - when penning the songs that make up his latest full-length, Great Big Soul, on Country label Curve Music. The album began as a batch of barebones demos recorded in a church basement in downtown Toronto, and Jack eventually fleshed them out at the Tragically Hip's Bathouse Recording Studio with producer John MacArthur Ellis.
Jack was one of six jury-selected finalists from across the country who participated in the Canadian Country Music Association's (CCMA) prestigious 2013 Discovery Program, and showcased his material at the CCMA's in Edmonton in September to rave reviews.
Also on the show, Ontario Country artist Chelsea Crites is here to talk about her new single Doing To Me.

- Sen. Mary Landrieu's last-ditch effort to pass a bill approving the Keystone XL Pipeline fell one vote short of the 60 needed following an all-day debate Tuesday that touched both on the merits of the pipeline and Louisiana's Dec. 6 Senate election.
The final vote was 59-41.
Some viewed the vote as a last-ditch chance for Democrat Landrieu to close a gap with the favorite to win the run off -- Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge. And Republicans were quick to say the defeat showed that Landrieu clout falls far short of what she's been telling voters.NOL
Today we have the honor of talking to Bruce Malone who is the author of Censored Science and Brilliant.
Censored Science shows the evidence for each major scientific discipline (first third - biological science, second third – earth science, last third – physics/cosmology) in a non-technical, easy to understand way. Briefly – the laws of science reveal that evolution is impossible. Matter cannot create itself…DNA is coded information and information cannot write itself…life only comes from pre-existing life and every experiment ever done testifies to this…there is not one missing link but systematic gaps between every different kind of body structure…gas always expands outward –never packs tighter together so stars could never form themselves – and no one has ever seen a new star form. Brilliant documents these and dozens of other examples of how we can know creation has a Creator and did not make itself.

Also, Republicans in both the House and the Senate prepare to stop Obama’s planned executive amnesty - how? Through government funding bills. Americans are demanding that Congress defund Obama's unconstitutional actions NOW. But when will be the best time for Congress to snap the purse shut? All that and MIT prof Jonathan Gruber's revelations of deliberate deception re Obamacare and you, the "stupid" American.
