    in Military

Malachias Gaskin Is the Author of “A Warrior’s Garden,Therapeutic guide to living with PTSD.Malachias joined the Indiana Army National Guard in Jan 1994 at 18 yrs old and served both as a Combat medic and an Infantryman for 9 years. In April 2006 He re-enlisted in into the Active Army as a Combat medic and served for 8 years. He did 28 months in Iraq during the surge and Operation New Dawn. He was medically retired for PTSD,TBI, Arthritis,Hearing loss, and Bursitis at 100% and retired to the Nashville TN area.
After 3 yrs of counseling and medications from the Army,Malachias decided that he needed something more and transitioned to a more non-chemical based and alternative therapy based road to recovery.Using three main pillars,Faith, Music, and Organic Gardening A Warrior’s Garden was born

I was born and raised in Batesville,Mississippi,a small country town.I have two sisters and a younger brother.I grew up in a very traditional southern Baptist household with dreams of making it big in the world of entertainment.I have always loved pop culture, music, movies, fashion and left Mississippi for NYC to achieve my dreams. After years of going to auditions and sending out applications,I booked two reality show pilots that unfortunately, never got picked up but gave me relevant experience and the opportunity to network with people within the television industry. With the mind set of never giving up,I branched out into print work where I ended up booking a national cookbook, the cover of HawkCo.'s spring clothing line, and two months in a row featured as one of DNA Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, followed up with a six page spread. With all this experience I'm still trying to break out and learn how this crazy world in the entertainment business works.Thankfully social media has changed the way casting directors look for talent an my Instagram has taken off with 15.5K followers. The climb might be slow but the goal has never changed
