V 3 Jesus’ mother tells him they have ran out of wine/
V 4 is no disrespect of Mary in any form or fashion you could paraphrase it by saying Madam, that concern you, not me. My hour has not yet come.
V 5 is Mary response to the servants, ‘’whatever he saith unto you do.
V 6 - 8 Jesus said to them fill to the brim the six waterpots that were used to hold water for foot washing and purifying in a manner the Jews are custom too and draw some out and take it to the governor of the feast and they did so.
V 9 - 10 the ruler of the feast tasted the wine it was better than the wine he had drunk when he arrived at the feast and he called the bridegroom to comment how unorthodox it is to save the best for last.
V 11 Jesus’ miracles always had a two-fold purpose. This miracle resulted in the manifestation of his glory. John the author of the gospel of John said in V 14 of chapter 1, ‘’...the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth’’. And the second part of the purpose was to get his disciples to ‘’believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name’’, John 20:31.
V 12 After the wedding, Jesus’ family and his friends and disciples returned to his home in Capernaum. His birthplace was Bethlehem; He was raised in Nazareth; He lived and conducted his ministry out of Capernaum his home town...
"And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Ceasar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to city of David, which is called Bethlehem because he was of the house and lineage of David.
Belinda has had a love for music since she was a little girl. She used to travel with her mother, who sang with the Spiritualetts and the Eddy Scott gospel group. This is where her love for music was formed. She grabbed the mic and started singing at the age of three years old for a group called " The Sunshine Band Choir" which is a children's ministry at Galilee Church Of God In Christ. At five years old she was asked to sing her first solo a the Church Of God In Christ International Holy Convocation. Belinda has always been surrounded by songwriters and artists on both sides of her family. Being invited to perform, act, sing in pageants, talent shows, churches and district meeting in Dallas, Texas was an enlightening experience which allowed Belinda to see the possibilities of her God given gift. Belinda's life goal and mission is to impact people's lives by encouraging, equipping and empowering them through the gospel of Jesus Christ. She is looking forward to all that God has in store for the ministry that lies within her.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem, through a virgin named Mary in a town about six miles south of Jerusalem, toward the end of Herod the Great's reign as king of the Jews (37 BC - 4 BC). Early in His life He was taken to Nazareth, a town of Galilee. There He was brought up by His mother, Mary, and her husband, Joseph, a carpenter by trade. Hence He was known as "Jesus of Nazareth" or, more fully, "Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph".
o Jesus was His mother's firstborn child; he had four brothers (James, Joses, Judas, and Simon) and an unspecified number of sisters (Mark 6:3). ***Could you imagine being Jesus’ brother or sister…You would probably hear “I wish you could be more like your brother!”*** Joseph apparently died before Jesus began His public ministry. Mary, with the rest of the family, lived on and became a member of the church of Jerusalem after Jesus' death and resurrection.
A Wedding in Cana
Scripture John 2:1-3
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage,
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him , They have no wine.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
Acts 1:11 (KJV)
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Psalm 98:9 (KJV) True Justice is coming
9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
2 Timothy 4:8 (KJV) Those who love His appearing
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And everyone was on his way to register for the census, each to his own city.
Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
The Blessings of God shall overtake you in 2016!! Join us as we continue with the 9th Chapter of the Book of Mark.
Mark 9:6 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
