“Earl Javorsky's bold and unusual DOWN SOLO blends the mysterious and the supernatural boldly and successfully. The novel is strong and haunting, a wonderful debut.” – T. Jefferson Parker, New York Times bestselling author of FULL MEASURE and THE FAMOUS AND THE DEAD.
Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes suspense and crime fiction writer Earl Javorsky (also known as Dan Howard). I have to agree with Jeff Parker and say that Dan's books are powerfully intense and immeasurably enjoyable. Here is a little more about "Earl" (and he promises to explain the pen name). " I was born in Berlin and emigrated to the US when I was two. My father had been an aerial photographer under Rommel in North Africa and worked as a cinematographer in NYC. My mother remarried when I was five and we were off to Hollywood, where my step-father had a contract with Paramount. Oddly, he had been a lieutenant in the US Navy off the coast of Italy. I was a weird kid and made the appropriate adjustments. After a long stint trying to make it as a musician in LA and clawing my way up to mid-level management in the chemical entertainment industry (just about killed me), I went back to my first love: writing. I had the good fortune to run into Lou Aronica, my editor at The Story Plant. I work as a proofreader/edito"r (www.theproofreader.org).

With the excitement around the NWA movie which was very dope movie I recognize that in order to compact their story in a 2 hour movie they missed a lot of the history. So being that we experience a lot of those moment first hand we will speak of our experience and attempt to fill so of the holes. And go in on the history of the time period in Los Angels that created an NWA.

Due to technology issues beyond our control, we were unable to play the interview with HOWARD LAX on Monday's podcast which was on the topic of Marketing Service Agreements (MSA's). Now that BlogTalkRadio has been able to fix the issues, we are able to share with you this interview. Again, my apologies and hope you will find this interview of value. David Lykken, Host of Lykken On Lending!
It seems that Marketing Service Agreements (MSA's) have drawn the ire of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), but why? What has been the evolution of Marketing Service Agreements (MSA's) and why now have they become so 'toxic' to the point that a number of major financial institutions have announced that they are terminating all MSA's? Is there any MSA structure that the CFPB would find acceptable? If so, do the risks involved out weigh the advantages? ON this podcast we have as our special guest, HOWARD LAX of the Bodman law firm. Howard will answer these questions and will explain why so many are exciting MSA's. Don't miss this important discussion and interview with HOWARD LAX.

Ready for not driving yourself to work? Or ready for not having work? There are benefits and consequences ot this surge in robotic development - from Roombas to Androids - what is here, what is coming, and how will it impact our society and our work? Tom and Deb from The Internet of Unintended Consequences (www.tiouc.com) interview Dr. Ayanna Howard from the Georgia Institute of Technology, to explore these questions and more - are you ready to interact with robots or we are likely to be replaced by them?
Dr. Ayanna Howard is the Motorola Foundation Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her B.S. in Engineering from Brown University, her M.S.E.E. from the University of Southern California, and her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Her area of research is centered around the concept of humanized intelligence, the process of embedding human cognitive capability into the control path of autonomous systems. This work, which addresses issues of intelligent control as well as aspects of human-robot interaction in real-world environments, has resulted in over 180 peer-reviewed publications in a number of projects – from scientific rover navigation in glacier environments to therapy robots for the home. Her unique accomplishments have been highlighted through a number of awards and articles, including USA Today, Upscale, and TIME Magazine. In 2013, she also founded Zyrobotics, which is currently licensing technology derived from her research and has released their first suite of therapy and educational products for children with special needs. She is currently the Associate Director of Research for the Georgia Tech Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines.
