The Georgia Democratic Values Project was established in Georgia in November 2010. Its mission is to develop progressives' ability to express our values and to frame issues in terms of those values. This is done in several ways: On our website, valuesmessage.org, we provide links to resources and tools that are useful in formulating messages that meet those objectives. We send to our email list comments on and links to current items in the news and on progressive websites. We speak to county Democratic parties about Democratic values. We advocate for activities in Georgia that will help to move progressive organizations toward better messaging. The Georgia Progressive Exchange, for example, was an effort to bring many progressive organizations together to overcome the issue silos that tend to divide us by focusing on our common values (and building trust and a sense of community among these organizations). While the project was established in Georgia, its objectives and resources are applicable nationwide. A Facebook group facilitates discussion among members.
This week wrapping up the Thanksgiving holiday talking leftovers and the dating scene today. Walking dead. Jaime shares his thoughts on what Thanksgiving mean to him and more.
Our goal at the Yehudah Project is to establish open communication and build a bridge with love to combat the negative spirits that attempt to attack our men and women through hatred and division. We want to recognize and appreciate each other through love, support and accountability while taking responsibility for our behaviors and actions.
STOP the abusive dialog between our Hebrew men and our Hebrew women, because we are experiencing the same identical hardships today and we need to heal each other with love.
It is mandated by YHWH for us to come together and pray: we are a nation of people with dual nationalities and we have to open dialog as a nation to prepare ourselves and our families for the changes that are about to happen according to the Word. Children are won through the union of the man and the woman. Let’s remember our children learn what they live!
STOP ABUSING EACH OTHER AND LET’S TALK!
Amy Alkon's Advice Goddess Radio: "Nerd Your Way To A Better Life!" with the best brains in science.
*"Best Of" replay for Thanksgiving weekend.
Stanton Peele points out that most people recover from addictions on their own -- without AA or rehab, and what makes the difference is values, not biology.
On tonight’s show, he’ll debunk many of the myths in addiction treatment -- especially the notion that addiction is a “disease” people are powerless to overcome. That defeatest message is especially counterproductive to overcoming addiction, and it’s been supported with bad science and hearsay. Join us tonight to hear what solid science says about how addiction or bad habits can be overcome -- to the point where people are not just going cold-turkey off some substance or behavior till their next relapse, but where they develop meaningful ways of coping that no longer have them turning to their old crutch.
Peele’s book we’ll be discussing is Recover! Stop Thinking Like an Addict and Reclaim Your Life with The PERFECT Program.
Join me and all my fascinating guests every Sunday, 7-8 p.m. PT, 10-11 p.m. ET, at blogtalkradio.com/amyalkon or subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher.
Please order my new book, the science-based and funny "Good Manners For Nice People Who Sometimes Say F*ck," -- only about $11 at Amazon.

...Open your doors and invite someone that you may know will be alone to join you at your table...Holidays can be trying times for Individuals with an Addiction. As MY Sponsor once told me - "DANNY - IF IT AFFECTS YOUR SOBRIETY IN AN ADVERSE MANNER - THEN DON'T DO IT!" Good advice throughout the year, regardless whether it is a Holiday or just ANY OLE DAY! Because I work a program that has kept me sober - I am Thankful for the many invitations that I receive these days for me to join others/family /friends /Clients at their tables alongside their Parents / Children / Cousins / Friends. Not something that would have happened to me BEFORE I sobered up. In fact our AA Club will be hosting an ALL NIGHT Vigil in order to KEEP THE DOORS OPEN FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS THE COMPANY OR COMPANIONSHIP - Ultimately keeping ALL OF US SOBER! We will play cards, eat food, hold Discussion / Meetings - all with the intentions of keeping oneself for gettings lost in our minds. A place that when I was initially Sober - was considered to be a VERY BAD & UNSAFE PLACE TO GO. Having completed the 12 Steps repeatedly over these past 20 years, I no longer have to avoid ALONE TIME, as I have long since Forgiven Myself and have made amends with many individuals that I hurt when I was actively caught up in my Addiction.
Join me/Us EVERY SUNDAY EVENING FROM 7 to 9 PM as we Broadcast LIVE - our persoanl day to day lives, and experiences as well as what it took for us to get and to stay CLEAN & SOBER. Or call-in number which will allow you to share comments, thoughts, criticisms, & even your own personal EXPERIENCE /STRENGTH / & HOPES, (YOUR STORY) with our audience. My name is Kenneth Clark and I grew up in South Florida in a city called Coconut Grove with my family of six. Life was difficult. The vast streets bore challenges to our curiosity, and as kids we took to the opportunity to the local parks for our adventures. As we got older we had to experience the life without a farther. This situation put us in a fast track life where we had to mature immediately.
I quckly understood the importance of preparation, hard work, and respect. I applied these values to my endevours by making an inventory of resources, planning my activities for efficiency, working on my goals every single day, and giving my body the necessary rest, it needed to operate. My upbringing has completely supported my development and I am thankful for it.
In December 1986 I enlisted in the United States Army and shipped to basic training on August 13, 1987. I never thought I would be a career soldier. I was an enlisted soldier for 20 plus years.
During my Career I was involved in the follow campaigns, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom

We arrived late on Saturday and were supposed to be out late Sunday. But I got super sick on Sunday and by Monday I couldn't hole anything down. Our friend left to find help. And we had two night out there. Tune in for the rest of the story!!!!

Interview with Gregory Cioffi about his upcoming film called The Museum of Lost Things. The film is about a man who randomly walks into a museum that has objects that represent something that he has lost in his life. The movie then goes onto to consider more abstract things, like lost illusions. It is a layered story told from different perspectives weaving together objects, experiences and some big ideas. The film is based on a short story by Dennis Pahl and parts of it were shot at Long Island University.
To get the right tone for the film Gregory studied some of Woody Allen and Wes Anderson films, including Midnight in Paris and The Grand Budapest Hotel. However, The Museum of Lost Things is it's own unique story, inspired by Dennis's experience of losing/misplacing things.
If you 'd like to help bring this magical tapesty to life, please check out the film's Kickstarter project.
