Josh Norman is a WHAT? / NBA Playoffs Round One

    in Sports

With the NFL Draft approaching, our favorite pastime is back in the spotlight once again. First, the Philadelphia Eagles moved up to the no.2 spot by trading their 8th overall pick, plus a few valuable selections in the early rounds, to the Cleveland Browns. Subsequently, placing them in a rather precarious position to select another sub par QB. Then not to be outdone by the Eagles futility, the Panthers rescinded the franchise tag on Josh Norman, making him an unrestricted free agent. Who saw that one coming? On the other side of the sports sphere, the crew of INtheZONE will also give their analysis and predictions for the upcoming rounds of the NBA Playoffs.

FEEL LIKE GIVING UP??? WELL GUESS WHAT?? IT'S NOT AN OPTION!!

    in Self Help

    Ever felt like giving up??

I know I do, in fact I think that most people do sometime in their lives.

Like most people, some mornings I wake up and feel less than eager about working. Not all the time, but Mama said there would be those days!  And I know that this feeling doesn’t stem from laziness or apathy, it’s a stronger power, a sense of futility and helplessness.

It’s a sense that nothing that you do really has any effect on what is happening in your life. I've experienced it many times as well—, at times in my career when it seemed like I worked hard and nothing came of it.

There's a sense of powerlessness as you start to feel like you are banging your head against a wall, that does not seem to budge.

That sense of powerlessness is learned helplessness.

What I have to say about this is, “Do not accept your helplessness!" You must continue to try to escape that feeling of helplessness, because if you keep pursuing your passion-- something that you do will work! You must try and muster up all your efforts to climb out of the pit of despair even when you feel as though you have no solid footing. It may be feel gawky and awkward at first, and it may take many attempts to get out, but the only way out is to try. If you simply accept what you believe is your fate, you’ve created a recipe that will lead you nowhere fast!!

Join me Janice Clarke, Holistic Health Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Nutritional consultant Reiki Practitioner and Host of the Soulful Healing Talk Show, to discuss how to overcome this feeling and get the most out of your journey  in this thing called life.

Come and get inspired in our ME TIME Hour!! One Love!

Hour 1 - A crazy Christmas Eve-Eve edition of the Podcast with a great crowd and cast of guests and surprises. The show opened with Tony being escorted onto the set by the lovely Nina and Selina - 2 of the 2016 Calendar girls at Club Risque Philadelphia as Tony was dressed up in his "Pimp Santa" outfit.
We had a long list of prizes to give out in our annual "Christmas Karaoke" contest where audience members got a chance to sing and win.
Our our pal Harry Mayes returned, just back from the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl in Florida where Toledo beat the Temple Owls on a rainy night in South Florida. He talked about the game and visiting Tigers Woods restaurant in the area.
Of course we had to talk Miss Universe and the Steve Harvey fiasco.
CSN Philly TV anchor John Clarke also stopped by to address Luigi Curto's tennis challenge and after some friendly jabs, agreed to set up a charity tennis match in 2016.
John also discussed the abysmal 1-and-30 Sixers team which keeps breaking its own records for futility. the 1972-73 team has the worst record ever at 9-and-93, but we all now wonder if this current crew will even win 8 games.
We started our singing competition with John singing Holly Jolly Christmas and from there is all went off the rails as both our staff and contestants tried to get the contest back on track.
