ASSATA SHUKUR: VICTIM OF MODERN DAY FUGITIVE SLAVE ACT

Assata Shakur has been living in Cuba since 1986, after escaping from prison where she was serving a life sentence imposed in a highly disputed trial. Assata was a Black Panther then a Black Liberation Army (BLA) leader in the early '70s, so she was a target of the FBI's COINTELPRO.

Conventional wisdom tells us that before we do something, we first need to feel like doing it or feel like the kind of person who would do that sort of thing. And in order to feel like doing something, the thinking goes, you need to get in the right mindset, “find yourself,” or discover your “deep inner truth.”
So young men following conventional wisdom drift through life waiting until they feel like a man before they take their place in the circle of men. They believe that at some magical moment in the future, they’ll feel like a grown man, and once that happens they’ll finally have the motivation to start doing manly things. Or they read books, meditate about masculinity, and attend weekend men’s retreats, hoping that they’ll start to feel like a man through pondering manhood. But they don’t seem to make much progress. Sure, they have their moments of inspiration, but when the retreat is over or the book is finished, they’re back to feeling insecure about their status as men.
But the problem with conventional wisdom on how a person “becomes” is that it doesn’t work. At least not very well. Nine times out of ten you won’t magically start feeling like a man by simply thinking about becoming a man. So how can you start feeling like the man you’ve always wanted to be? By following the advice given by both ancient philosophers and modern psychologists: to feel like a man, you have to act like a man.
Kids these days, right? Well, why are they like that? Is it the parents? Is it the teachers? Is it the system? Is it all of the above? Please join Chamber Seven and BluPhunk as we discuss the growing behavior trend of the Millennials who seek gratuitous reward for minimal output. What has happened to this generation of kids that are trained to take tests and not create and grow? Are we designing a better version of slave? Drones that just doa and don't think? Think about it, write about it and then, let's discuss it.

Prophet Dr. David Owuor teaches the church deep insights from the gospel of Christ (John 4:5) by the power of the Holy Spirit as the church finds herself at Jacob's well. This teaching is a treasure from heaven and not found on any Christian TV, Chrisitian Radio...and certainly not the theology schools.
While offering sacrifices in the old testament, only undefiled animals were worthy of being proffered unto the LORD, and owing to that benchmark of sacrifice, the offering of a blemished animal was considered a serious violation of biblical law. It was also regarded as the most heinous act of an audacious disrespect unto GOD.
When you [priests] offer blind [animals] for sacrifice, is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and the sick, is it not evil? Present such a thing [a blind or lame or sick animal] now to your governor [in payment of your taxes, and see what will happen]. Will he be pleased with you? Or will he receive you graciously? says the LORD of hosts (Malachi 1:8).

This week on CM Radio we have one of the true legends of rock and roll, Randy Bachman. Bachman, of course, rose to international prominence as one of the leaders of The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, writing countless hits across multiple decades, including "These Eyes," "American Woman," and "Takin’ Care of Business." He is now forging ahead into 2015 with a brand new project billed simply as BACHMAN. Joined by a virtuoso rhythm section with Anna Ruddick on bass and Dale Anne Brendan on drums, the trio’s debut effort, entitled Heavy Blues, will be available worldwide on April 15, 2015 through Linus Entertainment/eOne Music Canada.
Before that, we will be speaking with two of the excellent bands that will be taking part in the second edition of Generation Next Live (www.GenerationNextLive.com). We have Ryan Abramowitz of The Unchained, an instrumental groove rock band from Toronto who is making a name for themselves for that stellar live show and for their latest project, Lost in the Music. As well, we have Ashley Curtis, lead singer of Affinity, another band gaining buzz in the Toronto live rock scene and a breakout act at last year’s Indie Week. Their excellent debut EP, Consequences Pt. 1, came out last year and Ashley says that have new material in the works that they will be showcasing at Generation Next Live on Feb. 5 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre.

“A business model is the proprietary methodology used to acquire, service, and profit from customers.” — Jim Muehlhausen Author “The 51 Fatal Business Errors and How to Avoid Them”
Your business model is your secret sauce. Your model is what makes your business unique. Yourbusiness model is the formula you use to outsmart your competitors, provide ongoing value to customers, and continually grow your business.
The ECONOMIC ESPIONAGE ACT of 1996 (18 USC 1831-39) defines trade secrets as all forms and types of financial, business, scientific, technical, economic or engineering information, including patterns, plans, compilations, program devices, formulas, designs, prototypes, methods, techniques, processes, procedures, programs, or codes, whether tangible or intangible, and whether or how stored, compiled, or memorialized physically, electronically, graphically, photographically, or in writing if:
The owner thereof has taken reasonable measures to keep such information secret, and;
The information derives independent economic value, actual or potential, from not being generally known to, and not being readily ascertainable through proper means by the public.
in The Bible
Bible In A Year :: Old Testament :: Exodus 17 - 19
We will Read Chapters: 17 - 19 of Exodus and follow the read up with a short discussion.
The goal is to produce a closer relationship with God through the rhythm of reading and discussing these three chapters daily. Hopefully, our love, loyalty, submission and appreciation for God and Jesus will grow exponentially from our daily read, study and discussion of the bible.
My Prayer is that this won't be a religous act for Christians but an act that will bind Disciple's hearts closer to God deeper into his amazing will and love. May all who participate empower their eternal advocates.
God's Blessings .. Until we meet again
