William Barber, Sr. Sunrise: April 3, 1907 ~ Sunset: September 14, 1971 "Queen Mother" Annie Mae Barber Sunrise: October 17, 1917 ~ Sunset: December 29, 2007.  Founder and Co-Founder of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church 500 Platt Street Bridgeport, Connecticut 06606. “The Mother Church” of I Believe God Ministries, International. Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land your God is giving you. (Deuteronomy 5:16) Good people will be remembered as a blessing (Proverbs 10:7) Because someone we love is in heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in our hearts “Gone But Always Remembered”

Rev. William Barber, Sr. was the Patriarch and “Queen Mother” was the Matriarch of our family. Most importantly, during their lives, they continued to be devoted committed servants of God and a man and woman of prayer, faith, love and power. Rev. Barber and Queen Mother were unequivocally people of integrity, role models of strength, determination, love, perseverance and they also served as mentors to many. They lived through the black history struggle, and continued to make positive strides in their daily Christian service. We are very pleased and thankful to The Mighty God that He blessed our beloved Founder and Co-Founder to see and enjoy their work, fruit and labor of love. Now their work of Ministry certainly follows them!

    The Lamp of the Body

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! So if you focus on things that are of God, obey His word, follow His word you will be full of Light (Jesus say in

What does it mean to allow your Spirit to Pray?

    in Prayer

Praying in the Spirit has many benefits. For one, the fruit of the Spirit is released in us, which has supernatural and multifaceted effects on our attitudes and personality that are given off by Him resting in us and on us. Aside from this practical and necessary benefit, praying in the Spirit gives us specific, unique advantages that we achieve by allowing the Spirit to pray through us. I want to talk to you today about a few of the specific and unique advantages we have when we allow God’s Spirit to pray through us. Praying in the Spirit gives us wisdom, gives us even more of an advantage in spiritual warfare and causes us to be “built up” and edified in our spirit man
