He Is Up To Something Wonderful

    in Business

It is the last Saturday before Christmas 2014 and people are scurrying about in the malls trying to find just the perfect gift.  Well, God gave us the Perfect Gift, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.   Now we have an opportunity to learn and grow into the person He wants us to be as we walk through life.  Life does not always make sense for us just as it did not for the Children of Israel when there was a 400 year period of God's silence even though they were promised a Messiah.

So what is God up to in those periods of silence, suffering or challenge?

He is up to something Wonderful, that's what!  Listen and learn how....

    Episode 27: The Christmas Challenge

    in Lifestyle

This week your Host, Fayola Delica will be discussing what the Holiday season should be about. The question we will be answering is "so what is in it for them this holiday season?"

As we are in full gear in the holiday season, knowing right after Halloween, people get ready for the winter holiday seasons.  There are many celebrating various holidays from Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Christmas.  During this season people send time with family and friends, put up holiday decorations, and buy gifts for their loved ones.  Yet, the holiday should be more than just that.  It should be about how do we share the holiday cheer with others who are less fortunate to do the traditional holiday fixings and celebrations.  Therefore, I will be about the Christmas Challenge.

Let us not just think about ourselves, but about others.  So, the Christmas Challenge is for every gift you receive, you give one to someone in need.

On that note, be a giver and not just a receiver!

Happy Holidays to you and yours. Peace and blessings!

    The Challenge Of Social Justice

    in Current Events

Conservatives are perceived to be at a disadvantage when it comes to social justice.  We simply must get better at thinking and talking about it.  And we have a lot to offer.  Liberal progressivism is very flawed in its perceptions of social justice, and its policy prescriptions are often disastrous.  It is no accident that after nearly a decade of the left's ascendancy, American society is bitterly divided and increasingly convinced that social institutions have been hijacked to enrich a few favored groups with both money and power.

Social justice is a goal that challenges every generation.  It is never achieved completely, but we must keep trying. The holidays provide a wonderful opportunity to ponder this transcendent ideal of our Judeo-Christian heritage.

What Does Having A Life Threatening Illness /Disease Force A Person To Challenge

    in Women

What Does Having A Life Threatening Illness /Disease Force A Person To Challenge, Learn And Overcome?

Debbie Berkelhammer (www.debbieberkelhammer.com ) is Author of the new book "Point of View: POV on Dying and Living." She is available to share her insight with your audience.

Debbie overcame a life threatening disease and hopes to help other in a similar situation emerge victorious as well.

    Debbie Berkelhammer POV

    ·  Once you are diagnosed with an illness or disease, who you are and your path is forever changed. It’s how you move forward that will define this new life.

    ·  There are many challenges, these challenges are not just in the beginning of being diagnosed but rather each day moving forward, especially if you are diagnosed with an illness that could reoccur.

    ·  I look at illness as steps to overcome, denial, fear, anger, weakness, aggression, hopelessness, acceptance, hopefulness, strength, faith, hope, truth and gratefulness and trust. Each one of these steps plays a role in your illness and how you move forward and live your life. But sometimes, losing footing happens and you have to start over with the steps and have the hope and strength to know you will get better.

    ·  I have learned to accept my illness and that i can not live with "what if", i have to live with the thought I will. I will live, and I will thrive.
