These are just a few reasons why drivers will leave the vocation but for many, will look for a way to remain active within the transportation business.

Criminal background checks on real estate clients and the Fair Housing Laws

Should real estate brokers and thier frims run cirminal background checks on unknown persons who claim an interest in buying real estate?
Does the law permit this?
Can you refuse to show a property if the potential purcahser of the property has a felony or misdemeanor in their background (such as passing bad checks, violent crimes, murder, domestic violence, crimes against women, assault, battery, fraud or forgery)?
There are important questions.
If you are wrongfully discirminating in refusing to show properties to potential buyers of real estate, do you run the risk of getting sued merely because you were trying to protect your own safety?
Listen in as Attorney Steve, the real estate lawyer, discusses this important real estate law topic.
This show is general legal information only.

My name is Rick Nappier, Owner of 321SetAppointments.com, also known as "321".
My company helps small business owners do more business and find more clients using twelve years experience in corporate America as a sales and operations manager and over 8 years experience selling real estate and life insurance. 321 is a coaching, mentoring and business development company.
Today's short broadcast offers Real Estate Brokers a 3-hour, on-demand, high performance training session to help brokers' agents become more productive. Brokers will probably agree that the majority of new agents come into the industry with very little sales experience, barely any self-employment work history and no personal development coaching.
Yes, agents are using the Internet and social media to find business and close deals, but we at 321 strongly believe agents will benefit from this traditional sales approach to help agents set sales goals and make the income they want and need.
The training fee is $499 for up to 20 agents and $999 for up to 50 agents. GoToMeeting software will be the training platform.

The Fighting Fraud in Transportation Act of 2011 proposes to raise the amount of the surety bond from $10,000 to $100,000 with the reasoning being that the increase would combat against fraudulent freight broker business.
Our special guest, Dan Metully of Transport Watch and co-owner of TFI Logistics, Inc., believes it will put more good brokers than bad, out of business.
Also joining the conversation is James Lamb, President of the Association of Independent Property Brokers & Agents and Richard Wilson, regulatory expert with Trans Products & Trans Services.
Good or bad idea? We'll debate it.
