But she’s been a writer since second grade. That was when she started filling her great-grandpa’s giant sketchbook with story after story — most of them about little girls who found puppies, because she wanted one. She didn’t get that puppy until she was out on her own. She did, however, know early on that she wanted to entertain others with her fiction.
With three books published by Turquoise Morning Press (Diva in the Dugout, Beauty and the Ballplayer and Sliding into Home) and two indie stories out there (Home for the Holidays and Blind Date Bride), that lifelong ambition is becoming reality.

I have a dream...Celebrating Our Jubilee!
Our forefathers and mothers planted trees from which we gather fruit, and dug wells from which we quench our thirst. Civil Rights Activist marched for us, died for us and pleaded for our equality.
So what are we leaving behind for our communities today? What are we fostering in the minds of our Black children? How will we strengthen our families and our communities? How will we show the power of LOVE in the world? How are we Leading Change?
Just over fifty years ago, Dr. King's "I Have a Dream..." Speech debuted in Detroit and transformed a nation. Today, we, the residents of Detroit, are uniting to become a beacon of light and love to usher in greater transformation within our capacity to love that will impact this city, nation and the world. As Detroit goes, so does the nation.
Grass roots organizations and communities in Detroit are raising the bar on what's possible for us as Humans by elevating our consciousness to envision our lives as spirits in human form co-creating a world that reflects love, unity, compassion and Power. Find their destiny so you can powerfully play a role in Detroit's Re-birth that causes the world to notice!
Today, we are turning our discussion to our education system as school is resuming next week in our city. We want to encourage dialogue on what are the expectations for our children during their educational journey and how it translates to them becoming a part of society. What role is expected of them that is reflecting in the education they receive? Is it inclusive of the children's culture and societal experiences or is it a mirage of the life they have no hope of achieving? It's time to have this conversation.
Remember, we are powerful, and together we rise!

Brain Injury Support groups save lives, build communities and give meaning to a life affected by brain injury
Many who think about groups, think it may just be coffee and a donut but they are so much more than that, groups for many are the only connection to society, any connection to any other person that is not a medical profession or pharmacist dish out medicines.
Groups get people into the community if their facilitated right, doing healthy activities such as yoga, meditation and nutrition and exercise. They can help survivors and their families find a purpose that has meaning. Even after years of being stuck in hopeless mode. It saves lives, for many survivors who first discover others who have the same challenges, it can be the first glimpse of hope. Hope that life is not only about loss and pain. Hope that life can have meaning. No other services available to those living with a brain injury can inspire hope like peer support.
We are doing this episode to share with any and all who ever want to limit support groups, we need people to understand the power in Peer support groups, the power to rebuild life, and dreams..
Kimberly Braun is an expert at meditation and a master of consciousness. She describes herself as: Explorer. Contemplative. Entrepreneur. Aries. Lover. Friend. Learner. Teacher. Guide. Guided.
From a very young age, Kimberly found herself having moments she called unitive experiences. Time seemed to stop and veils seemed to pull back where the deeper essence of the moment came forward within and around her. These experiences happened in ritual, family, school, and especially nature. These occurrences inspired her and motivated her to ask deeper questions, finding that all our happiness and success is within us, we just have to discover it and surrender to it unconditionally and proactively.
The first large surrender was to immerse herself in silence in a monastery, where she lived ten and a half years as a Carmelite nun. Later she obtained her Masters in Theology, concentrating on spiritual direction and psycho-spiritual development. Her hope was to share the Divine within… nurturing skills to hear the language of the heart.
After three years on a ministry team, she plunged into the world as a woman, a spiritual guide whose lineage was the common essence of all people and all creation; independent of, yet bowing to all, traditions, faiths and practices, culling forth what can be shared with all.
She studied with Rev. Laura Thornberry developing psychic and spiritual skills, culminating in ordination with the Church of the Creator; and also studying Reiki through the Diane Stein school, completing level 3 Reiki Master training.
Now, she seeks expression writing books, offering keynote speeches to inspire all to experience their own inner Essence, teaching Essence Meditation class, and a large host of retreats and workshops.
