Russian Jet Shot Down Over Syria By Turkey: Are We Nearing WWIII?

    in Politics

Russian Jet Shot Down Over Syria By Turkey: Are We Nearing WWIII?

This is the first time a NATO country has bombed a Russian plane since the 50s. Also two Russian rescue helicopters were sent to get the surviving co pilot, the other pilot was killed by rebels after landing, and a Russian marine was killed on one of the helicopter from an attack by "Turkmen" in Syria. The co pilot over night was successfully rescued and is now in the Russian base in Syria. He has revealed there was no warning by Turkey before the attack on their jet. He says he wants to stay in Syria and continue his mission in honor of his fallen pilot. Did Turkey, who is a supporter of ISIS, do this on their own or did they have the backing of the US or NATO? How will Putin retaliate? Is Erdogan trying to bring a return of the Ottoman Empire? Already there is talk of a Russian strike on a Turkish convoy in Syria. Al Suarez & Andrea Nordera will discuss this for the 35 minute program, we will be open for callers.

    Another Man’s War

    The Sam Childers Story

Machine Gun Preacher Sam Childers grew up in the hills of Pennsylvania. His parents were decent, honest people but at an early age Sam started to show a knack for getting into trouble. His father, a former marine, grew fond of saying “Boy, somebody’s gonna kill you one of these days!”

    A Troubled Teen

By his early teens Sam was constantly in fist fights, selling hard drugs and sleeping with married women. He continued to slide deeper into a life of violence and crime until he became a Shotgunner – an armed guard for drug dealers. It was during this stage of his life that he met Lynn, a stripper, who would later become his wife.

    Unlearning a Life of Crime

Sam, haunted by his father’s words, became increasingly concerned that he was going to be killed because of drugs and slowly began to distance himself from his former life. He found a job in construction and prospered despite his continuing drug and alcohol habit. Lynn, meanwhile, returned to the Church she had forsaken as a young adult.

    A Changed Man

Sam also sought to re-establish his relationship with God and began to live a clean life. Slowly, things began to change for the better. Lynn gave birth to a healthy baby girl and Sam started his own construction business. Little did they know that their greatest challenge was just around the corner.

Power of Perception performers with Antoinette Greene

    in Spirituality

Growing up in New York I was exposed to theatre differently by my parents. My mother took us to Broadway shows. And my dad was more off Broadway. I enjoyed them all. But when my dad took me to see "The Me Nobody Knows" I was twelve. Seeing Irene Cara up on stage made me want to be up there. As a young adult my friends and I continued to go to plays and off beat films. That was our past time going to shows and out to eat.
I always wanted to be a dancer and took some lessons but I had to find another way to express myself. I got interested in acting at a time in my life when I needed to find myself and to feel grounded. I started taking classes at HB Studios. It was scary and exhilarating at the same time. I found something that I keep trying to conquer.
I'm finding myself. I found that I'm best at playing women who have a chip on their shoulder and a world class attitude but would like nothing better than put both of those aside.
I have been in some local films and plays. We just finished the 2015 Women's Voices Theater Festival. I was in two plays "A Matter of Worth" by Marcia E Cole and "For the Love of Oscar" by Hope Lindsay-Price.
By day I am a broadcast technician for Fox TV and as of date the Business Agent for our IATSE local.
And a wife , mother and grandmother.
