The topics of this show are based on Lakota Star Knowledge and may include viewing current events from the Ancient Lakota perspective. This show's objective is perpetuate peace among all people, as the foundation of all universes is based on "Mitakuye Oyas'in". The Lakota Star Knowledge definition of "Mitakuye Oyas'in" is that before you can be at peace with all the relatives throughout all universes, you must first have peace among all the relatives within your own inner universe. The mind, body, soul and emotions are all connected to each other. When you do your best in nurturing these four parts, you will establish peace within yourself. Only then are you able to be at peace with all creation around you.

1. There is no substitute for talent.
2. You need a bit of luck and connections.
3. But it doesn’t matter if you come from a modest background.
4. If you are good you will get the opportunity to succeed, but you must still capitalise on the opportunity.
5. In the face of the challenge (childhood illness) persistence pays off.
6. Expert opinions are not always worth that much – there is a club out there who regrets passing over on the opportunity to sign the little maestro.
7. It is not about the physical ability, but the mental ability.
8. His first instinct is to seek the goal: it is uncanny how aware he is of where the goal is even if he has his back to the goal.
9. He sees gaps and takes gaps no one sees or takes.
10. The highest accolade is not money, but the recognition of your peers. (Not in the shallow, politicised style of the Oscars, but rather the spontaneous acknowledgement of your peers.) In the face of that adulation, his instinctive reaction is one of humility. Watch this and you will see what I mean.
Exclusive life lessons from the world's most popular football player and social media giant Cristiano Ronaldo.
This show is presented by Gracefully-Yours, favorite greeting cards for encouragement and thank you. Visit www.gracefully-yours.com for specials.
Football is the most popular sport in the world. According to statistics, football spectators number 3.5 billion, spanning across Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa and North and South America. It might even be a good bet that football is watched by those living in the polar region.
Among the current generation of football players, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most, if not the most, popular. The 30-year old Portuguese athlete was born in Madeira, Portugal, one of the four children of working class parents. Although his early years were full of hardship, Cristiano Ronaldo today is one of the highest paid sportsmen in the world. His rise to success can teach us a thing or two about achieving our dreams.
Find your passion
Passion for what we do certainly matters. Some even consider it as an investment in a chosen career. Although we might not go to the extent of skipping meals like Ronaldo did, passion certainly allows us to bring more of “us” into an endeavor. It makes us more creative, energized, confident and persistent – qualities that contribute positively to the path of success.
Talent + Hard Work = Greatness
Stay fit and healthy
A good mentor can help pave the way to success
Flint activist Arthur Woodson will come Center Stage and explain why he believes the Flint water crisis will come down to four or possibly even five Black fall guys. The images of photographer Roberto Rabanne have captured the energy, complexity and beauty in music, fashion and art for more than four decades. I have a simple philosophy about photography, it’s that the image has to be powerful” explains Rabanne. “And I find this happens when you capture the subject engaging in the non-defensive, unguarded essence that is truly ‘them. One day at a sound check he decided he had nothing to lose and asked Jimi Hendrix if he could take his picture with his Yashica twin lens reflex. “Sure, man,” the flamboyant guitarist said, and Rabanne began snapping away. “I shot half a roll of film, rushed back to my little darkroom and processed it, and ran back to the Fillmore with the proof sheets,” explains Rabanne. “Hendrix said, ‘Wow, man, I like these,’ and stuck a $100 bill in my hand. He was my first ‘client’ and that was the beginning of my career as a professional photographer.Rabanne’s photos were first published in magazines like Rolling Stone, Crawdaddy, Cream and the East Village Other. They ran the gamut of the great bands – from the Grateful Dead and Quicksilver to Big Brother and the Holding Company, Cream, Dylan, Jefferson Airplane, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and more. Early on, Rabanne befriended Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. The legendary musician gave him priority access and allowed the photographer to do several studies of him and the band.Later, Rabanne’s interests expanded to include jazz and reggae. Shooting for Down Beat, Jazz Express, Goldmine, NME and numerous recording companies, his work now included the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Carmen McRae, Betty Carter, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Bob Marley and scores of others as he became the official photographer of the Monterey Jazz Festival.
