Has I get ready to leave Round Rock Texas, I just share a few thoughts about the adventures I had here. We spent Christmas day with my son and his family. Having a grandson with special needs make life a bit more challenging but still does not lessen my love him.
Christmas is so much more special when children are there.
The day after Christmas My son and I took the Boys over to Austin to Harbor Freight and Fry’s to run some errands. Then I took one of my Grandsons over to Piranha records trying to find some Willie Nelson music for a future show. Normally they carrying everything but today was not one of them. Shopping with my Grandson makes me a proud Grandpa
Saturday Morning my wife went to visit some of our favorite haunts The Book Spot, Half Price Books, because both were having sales and of course we had to go
Saturday afternoon my son and took the boys out one a mini-history trip around Round Rock, First we went out to the White –Lime Mc Neil Post office because Richard had never been there
While we there a train passed by which gave Brandon a big thrill, From there we actually found the Round Rock in Rock Texas, and then onto the Round Rock Memorial Park because they have a WWII torpedo one display to honor all the Submarines lost in that war, of course this leads me to this question “Why a Torpedo in Central Texas honoring lost submarines”? Perhaps a research question for another show
We also got a picture of the Christmas Ornament at the Water Tower
Every time we come out to Texas we always have a new set of adventures highlighted by the time we get to spend Richard, Sara, Brandon and Ryan
I would be Remiss if I did not mention this but Sara made homemade Cinnamon rolls that out do anyone or any chains, or independent bakery they are the simply the best
Presents are opened, feasts were had, family time came and went. Now what can you do?? YOU LISTEN IN TO OUR YEAR END SPECIAL! America needs all the help she can get. The Republicans won't do what they promised because even though those promises got them elected in massive numbers, they are afraid that they will make the democrats and the American people mad if they do. I know, it doesn't make any sense but that is how they roll. It is time to change that like Reagan did, and change the party. I am not for a third party, never have been but think the way to do it is to change the Republicans back to what they were before liberalism started to infiltrate them. Who's with me?
As for "it shouldn't be long now," Duke Brooks the leader of Conservative Nation Media told me that we would be back after the election. So, hoping that is going to be soon, as I feel we need to be back so we can work to help America again. Keep your fingers crossed folks. If it doesn't happen soon, I will start up my premium show again and do it on my own. The word needs to get out.
Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones Dies at the Age of 62
Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones died last Friday at the age of 62 in Kingston Jamaica. Her soul influenced reggae ballads propelled her to popularity in the seventies along with Judy Mowatt and Pam Hall.
Jones was born Barbara Nation in Kingston but grew up in Manchester, a rural parish located in central Jamaica. She began her musical career cutting a cover of American country singer Sue Thompson’s Sad Movies with the Soul Syndicate Band for Randy’s Records.
Most of her popular songs included, Evie Sands’ Angel in The Morning and Walk through This World with Me, originally done by Englebert Humperdinck and Dream Lover.
Jones toured with Jimmy Cliff as a backup singer, before giving up secular music in the early 1980s. She became a Christian and eventually recorded four gospel albums.
In May, Jones returned to her reggae roots by doing two shows in Brazil along with bassist/singer Lloyd Parks. They did shows in the cities of Teresina and Belem. Jones was shocked she had fans in Brazil, a vibrant market for so-called vintage reggae.
“I didn’t know my songs were so popular there. People always told me, I should go to Brazil as they love me there,” she told the Jamaica Observer during an interview after her return.
Barbara Jones is survived by her husband, three children and three grandchildren. The thanksgiving service for her life is scheduled for the Gregory Park Baptist Church on January 10. R.I.P Jamaican Diva Barbara Jones.http://jamaicandivas.com/tag/barbara-jones/
When I first met Lynn Littlejohn, it was after Rev Eddie Long was going through his ordeal (I'm not going to say it here, however if you're interested, google or bing it. I thought she was his X wife, however she wasn't. She was somebody else's ex wife. She was on YOUTUBE. You have to check out her channel, she has over a million views to her channel and more. She has written a couple of books. pastorsexwife.org tells the story.
If you want the true, this is where you get it. She is open and honest - she's lived a spicy life and she is willing to share it. If you don't like the truth but are willing to sneak and get it, COME 'ROUND HERE (Smokey Robinson) She tells it like it is, and she doesn't bite her tongue. This is the way religion should be. If you were to hear her show over and over (like if she only did one) you would get something valuable each time you listen, because PASTORSEXWIFE/LYNN LITTLEJOHN is like a hit record. Every time you hear her, you want more. 347-205-9366 - Are you ready?
An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetherolea, or simply as the "oil of" the plant from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. An oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant.Essential oils do not form a distinctive category for any medical, pharmacological, or culinary purpose. They are not essential for health.
Essential oils are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam. Other processes include expression or solvent extraction. They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and other products, for flavoring food and drink, and for adding scents to incense and household cleaning products.
Essential oils have been used medicinally in history. Medical applications proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer and often are based solely on historical accounts of use of essential oils for these purposes. Claims for the efficacy of medical treatments, and treatment of cancers in particular, are now subject to regulation in most countries. As the use of essential oils has declined in evidence-based medicine, one must consult older textbooks for much information on their use.
Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine that claims that essential oils and other aromatic compounds have curative effects. Oils are volatilized or diluted in a carrier oil and used in massage, diffused in the air by a nebulizer, heated over a candle flame, or burned as incense.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_oil.

North Florida’s Mixed-blood Indian People, Rediscovery of a Forgotten People
In the early 1800s, dozens of Siouan-speaking Cheraw families, including Catawbas and Lumbees, fled war and oppression in the Carolinas and migrated to Florida; just as native Appalachicola Creeks were migrating away. Being neither Black nor White, the Cheraw descendants were persecuted by the harsh “racial” dichotomy of the Jim Crow era and almost forgot their proud heritage. Today they have rediscovered their past. This is their story.
Creek Eastern Siouan Cheraw Indians, generally located in the panhandle of Florida. Related groups (Porch Creek, Redbones, Brass Ankles, etc) in which we can establish a surname connection locally or by association later (Mt Tabor Community).
The Apalachicola River Indian Community Conference is a non-profit community-based tribal organization that works for the political, social, legal, and spiritual welfare of the Creek/Eastern Siouan Cheraw Indian people in the panhandle of north Florida. Its focus is to foster tribal cultural identity and unity, documentary historical research into our origins and history, and provide venues for communication, awareness, and growth. We are the descendants of the Indian people who lived in the 3 settlements whose history is documented in the “Our History” part of this website. These are surnames in our community:
