As a premier expert in the art of positioning females to recognize and maximize their potential, author, entrepreneur, and speaker, Lakara Foster is Founder of She Speaks!, Inc. , an Atlanta-based consulting firm that provides tools, support, and a voice to those seeking a more powerful existence. She Speaks!, Inc. provides retreats, workshops, seminars, coaching, and mentoring programs focused heavily on relationships, love, life, and spiritual development. Lakara has always had an abiding certainty that she has a very rich, very specific, and very rare calling on her life. She has always been aware that she is here on divine assignment, however, she admits that she was not always faithful to this appointment. But, one specific moment forced her to commit to the mission her spirit was assigned at birth.
12 years ago, Lakara Foster sat directly across from Oprah Winfrey as a guest on her talk show. The show was titledThe Turbulent 20s and focused on young women who were experiencing what had been aptly termed The Quarter-life Crisis. They were confused about their purpose and when they would begin to walk in their greatness. Oprah looked each young woman squarely in the eyes and gently said, “The problem with your generation is that you all are not connected to ‘The Source’, but once you get connected, all of your questions will be answered.” That divine meeting eleven years ago provided Lakara with ““WHAT” she needed to do to achieve greatness. Today her personal mission is to show women “HOW” to achieve greatness.
Lakara Foster, a native of New Orleans, LA, holds a B.S. in Psychology, a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and a M. Ed. in Counseling Education from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Thru pain and suffereing is where we build character. But what about those who become societal outcasts, who already had a life of being a victim, and then society also now labels them as criminals? You show me one person who had a hard way to go, that did not first end up vicitmized most of their early lives, regardless of their economic upbringing, then they either become further victimized, and or, become a predator of sorts at some point in their lives without some sort of help..
Example A, A child is sexually abused early in life, they end up runnning away from home, and getting hooked on drugs and into street prostitution. Is this entirely their fault, to then be labeled as a criminal who breaks societal laws of right or wrong? What were they shown about themselves, by maybe their guardians of sorts?
This idea is an example of; what twisted lessons, ideas of right and wrong, that are so jaded, and hypocritical anymore as samples of societal issues that we see thru media. These samples are never a bases for all of us on how we adapt to our environment or then even an attempt, to escape our environment within that environment,.
That child who was programed by their environment to be used as a sex object, is still a victim at the core of their being, regardless of what is then put as a label upon them later: for their furthered poor choices. Under all that crap, the core problem is they were severely victmized, and then labeled in even a more horrid way, without any proper protection to begin with, right, within our own society.
The solution? Not the style of crime and punishment models we have abused in our American Society, and then turn around and make that very behavior or act, Legal.... What happens to the people that were already persecuted for the same crime, or act upon society, in some fashion or another? And vica versa.
