Portion control is an important concept when you're trying to lose weight and keep it off. But you don't need to memorize a food list or carry around measuring cups to get a better handle on serving sizes. Instead, use common visual cues to remind yourself of appropriate serving sizes. How? Many foods match up to everyday objects.
For example, a medium pepper is about the size of a baseball and equals one vegetable serving. While not all foods perfectly match visual cues, this method can help you better judge serving sizes and practice portion control, which may help with weight loss.
If you think the servings seem small, don't panic. Remember that you can eat multiple servings every day from each food group.

Have you ever personally faced the dilemma of choosing between buying diapers for your infant and putting food on the table? Have you ever had to leave your baby in the same diaper for an entire day because you couldn’t afford to purchase diapers? This is reality for many North Carolina families as well as 49,000,000 family around the United States
Diapering an infant requires between 8 and 12 diapers a day, on average. And we all know that diapers are expensive (about $100 per month per child)! Programs such as WIC and food stamps do not cover their purchase. If you know of anyone who have this problem please have them tone in on friday July 25th at 11:00Am EST. As I discuss with

Today's Episode: Interview with Elise Marie Collins, author of Chakra Tonics: Essential Elixers for the Mind, Body and Spirit
Elise Collins has created the perfect guide and recipe book of smoothies, teas, and tonics to help us transform our overall health and vitality. Her restorative recipes contain powerful superfoods, herbs, minerals, and ph-balanced liquids designed to nourish the physical body and revitalize its central energy system--the chakras. In Chakra Tonics, Collins outlines a brief description of the chakras and addresses the source of health problems in our energetic bodies, describing how the tonics assist the subtle body and chakras to release stale energy that, if not processed, can lead to disease and illness. She also describes ways to use these healthful drinks in combination with yoga techniques in an ongoing preventative manner or in conjunction with a specific meditation, visualization, or affirmation to enhance its power.
The Session Overview below is provided as a courtesy to those who prefer to read than listen, yet on each call additional insights are given which round out the subject.
The Emerging Science of Ormus
The science surrounding the discovery and use of monatomics (single atom trace minerals), also known as ormus elements, M-state elements or angstrom elements, is rapidly gaining ground in high-tech industries, farm & garden applications, and in many areas of human health. Current uses range from industrial applications in fuel cell technology and computers, to improving plant health and food production, to human use as a resource to build health, balance emotions, improve meditation, inspire a purpose-oriented lifestyle, and improve one’s personal manifestation abilities (through increased concentration of focus).
